We can’t discuss Fowey without mentioning food. Eclectic eatery the King of Prussia is set on the quay, in the town’s bustling centre. Tuck into the Prussia’s freshly baked filled ciabatta breads, baked jacket potatoes or full meals including slow-cooked pork belly or chargrilled tuna steak. The menu is truly outstanding. To sample the local delicacy, Fowey River mussels, be sure to visit The Lugger Inn in Polruan.

Fowey’s perfect location on the Cornwall coastline means you can easily venture to nearby towns and villages. If you are exploring out of the area, you’re not too far from Polruan, St Austell, Mevagissey and Lostwithiel.
