Nestled between Morecombe Bay and the fells of the Lake District is the attractive Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands. Grange-over-Sands is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and is brilliantly positioned for exploring the Lake District.

The town itself has a laid-back feel and the elegant, Edwardian appearance of many of the shop-fronts has been maintained. There is a charming, traffic-free promenade, which is perfect for a seaside stroll, and the town centre is home to a number of excellent cafes and restaurants. As you explore this traditional British seaside town you’ll discover ornamental gardens, a duck pond, golf courses and a selection of interesting independent shops.

Grange-over-Sands has a beautiful sandy beach on the edge of the vast Morecombe Bay. It’s a great place for hiking, although a guide is recommended for some routes due to the hazardous nature of the landscape. The Lakeland fells around Grange-over-Sands are beautifully unspoilt, and horse-riding, mountain-biking and water-sports are all easily reached from the town.
