View over Saundersfoot

Saundersfoot is a peaceful seaside resort in the heart of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Saundersfoot is a delightful resort on Wales’ Pembrokeshire coast, between Tenby and Amroth. With its Blue Flag sandy beach, bustling harbour and variety of excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the most popular Welsh towns in to visit in the region. Due to its compact layout and laid-back vibe, Saundersfoot is sometimes seen as a lower-key alternative to nearby Tenby. Whether you feel like lounging on the beach or taking a walk along the Pembrokeshire coast path, it’s a truly relaxing place to visit.

For a great day trip, check out Saundersfoot Boat Trips , which offers a variety of boat trips from the harbour, including mackerel fishing, seal safaris and bird-watching at St. Margaret’s sanctuary.

Saundersfoot harbour

On Saundersfoot’s doorstep is the magnificent Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which follows some of the UK’s most spectacular coastline for 186 miles. The trail passes towering limestone cliffs, sweeping, red sandstone bays, volcanic headlands and wide estuaries.

The path is easily accessed from Saundersfoot’s seafront and is a must-see, whether you’re planning to tackle the whole route or just a small section.

There are some great places to eat and drink in Saundersfoot, from elegant restaurants to cosy, old pubs. Mulberry, near the harbour, is one of the town’s most popular eateries. It specialises in classic meat dishes such as steak and beef stroganoff and has a lovely terrace, where you can smell the sea air as you dine. Another good option is Coast, a modern restaurant which is a stone’s throw from the beach. The food is beautifully presented and prepared with the area’s finest seasonal ingredients.

You’ll find a handful of nice pubs in Saundersfoot, one of the best of which is The Old Chemist Inn, which serves daily fresh fish specials and has a delightful terrace with some of the best sea views in town. Another good option is The Captain’s Table, an old pub overlooking the harbour, which serves good, reasonably priced food. The bar is well stocked with local ales and regular live music performances take place during the summer months.

Pembrokeshire was recently voted one of the best holiday destinations in the world, and our Saundersfoot cottages are an ideal base for exploring its coast, countryside and seaside towns. The lively resorts of Tenby and Narbeth are a short drive away and well worth exploring.
