Mid and East Devon could perhaps be described as the green heart of the county encapsulating the rugged and distinctive landscape of Dartmoor National Park which is studded with ancient monuments, stone circles and full of wildlife. This part of Devon is rich in characterful villages and green farmland with paths and trails aplenty for walking, cycling and exploring.
In contrast to the peaceful countryside, Mid and East Devon contains the vibrant city of Exeter; a city where modern café culture meets antiquity built around the magnificent Exeter Cathedral. There are also myriad shops, boutiques and eateries. Alongside this, is the historic market town of Tavistock, brimming with charm and with the River Tavy running through. Or stay in a holiday let in the town of Tiverton, on the banks of the Great Western Canal, which is ideally placed to explore moors, cities and coastline.
We have some lovely Mid and East Devon holiday cottages for you to choose from in this region. Our Mid and East Devon cottages provide the perfect base to enjoy the Devon countryside or the fascinating past stories and heritage, where you can immerse yourself in the fascinating sagas of years gone by when exploring castles, historic houses or by taking a horse-drawn barge.
