These character cottages are set within the grounds of a working farm, each property is surrounded by open fields and breath taking views of rolling countryside with views of Skiddaw. They are the ideal holiday spot for multigenerational celebrations and get-togethers.

Allonby is a quiet and peaceful location ideal for relaxing, walking or enjoying the stunning countryside of the Lake District and the Solway Coast. Ideally located close to the bustling market town of Keswick and the Roman port of Maryport. The properties offer you the perfect base to discover the whole of the Lake District and all its attractions including Newlands Adventure Centre, The Lakes Distillery and Go Ape Tree Top Adventures.

This traditional and cosy cottage, welcomes you into the lounge with comfortable seating, TV  and DVD player and taking pride of place is a magnificent stone fireplace complete with gas fire for those chillier evenings. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favourite meal, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. Walking through the cottage, the large double bedroom and comprises of an additional single bed if it is so required with lovely views out of the windows. There is a shower room and WC all tastefully decorated, making this a lovely little retreat.

The outside space is an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage - ideal for your canine friends. There is also a table and chairs to relax in and enjoy the fresh air and views.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Excellent cottage very dog friendly very close to the sea however walking to sea a bit of a problem as narrow country roads with no pathway. Short drive to lakes around 20 minutes

This cottage was perfect for me, my partner and our little dog! It had everything we needed. It was a peaceful and just what we needed, great little break! The location was brill only 20 minute walk to the beach & the local pub was dog friendly too which was amazing. There are a few shops just 5 minute drive away.

Although didnt look much from the outside when you walked in was something different very clean and in keeping with the age of the property, it is in a tranquil location and only minutes from the beach. A real hidden gem, Immaculate,cosy cottage in beautiful countryside with amazing views.Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Quiet location which was an ideal base to explore Cumbria from. Allonby Bay has a massive beach area (2 mins away) ideal for walking our dog. Local Pub has good menu and fine selection of beers (dog friendly also) Fish shop served massive portions of Fish and chips. Enjoyable stay and tours around the lakes and coastline.

The cottage was much better than expected. It doesn't look like a twee, 'chocolate box' cottage from the outside but it is well appointed, comfortable and so peaceful. The cottage looked uninviting as we approached but once inside we realized just how lucky we were to have chosen it. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful farmers wife who helped with the temperamental gas fire and even provided an electric alternative just in case !
