Excellent cottage in a very quite, rural location with great views in all directions - just what we were looking for. The owners (and a couple of other families) live close-by, which means you don't feel too remote. Inside, the cottage was homely and spotlessly clean with some lovely welcoming touches (flowers on the table, wine in the fridge, log Read moreburner all set and ready to light). Overall, highly recommended - at just over an hour by car from Newcastle upon Tyne we are sure to return. Hide

The fully enclosed garden was ideal for our dog and we all enjoyed the many walks. The cottage has plenty of room considering it is only one bedroom and is dog friendly. This is a really nice cottage, out in the countryside on Hadrian's Wall. The standard of the accommodation is excellent and the owner (Simon) made us feel very welcome. It is in a lovely location and we would be happy to recommend it to anyone. They also have some very luxurious pods on site which looked very good.
