Also within easy reach is iconic Windermere, with its literary history, bustling centre and beautiful lake, while Kendal offers larger stores, supermarkets, art galleries, a theatre and cinema. Windermere and its shores are a wonderfully scenic location to enjoy a huge range of outdoor activities a well as a good network of footpaths. Activities range from leisurely boat trips to open-water swimming, fell walking, cycling, canoeing, and sailing.
