Quaint cottage sleeping three guests, located next to the well-regarded village pub in Bouth, a small village in the South Lakes, only 4.5 miles from the shores of Lake Windermere.

This property enjoys a lovely location in the small village of Bouth, right next door to the village pub, whose landlord is the owner of the cottage. The pub itself is well-regarded in the local area for its warm welcome and excellent food. One mile outside the village, there is a farm shop and tearoom which also offers a range of experience days including tractor driving and shire horse days. Of course, the main draw of the area is the beautiful landscape, its lakes and fells, and this property is perfectly located for enjoying them both, as it situated 4.5 miles from Lake Windermere and Fell Foot Country Park. Perhaps the most famous of the lakes, Windermere offers a fantastic range of activities and attractions, ranging from leisurely cruises and thrilling watersports to National Trust properties and pretty towns.

Stepping inside this cottage through the side entrance, guests will come directly to the kitchen/diner, a cosy room with a wood burner at one end and the well-equipped kitchen at the other. Guests will find everything they need here including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in a laundry area just off the front hall. The lounge, meanwhile, looks out over the village green and is another welcoming space with a second wood burner, comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and hi-fi. Stairs lead to the first floor where the property’s two bedrooms are located. The first of these is a delightful double room whilst the other is a small double, with the bed measuring 4’ wide and therefore suitable for two children or one adult. The bathroom, also on the first floor, offers a shower over spa bath and WC.

There is parking for one car.

Great village location, the owner of the cottage also owns the country pub next door which serves great food. The roads in the village are quiet and so great for early morning and late evening walks with the dog. The property is about 10 mins from the southern most tip of Lake Windermere and 20 mins from Bowness/Windermere town which is a lovely toRead morewn to explore and find coffee. Grizedale forest park is approx 20 mins away which is great for walking with numerous grades and distances. Hide

The cottage was clean and well equipped in a lovely location but needed a little more TLC, the slightly uneven floors should be highlighted as we had an elderly person with us who had very poor eyesight and found the differing levels/poor lighting unsettling.

Small cottage, exactly as per the website, a pleasure to stay in. Plenty of room for 2 adults and a Whippet. Good food in the pub next door.

We loved the little cottage in Bough in which we stayed for two nights last weekend. It was such a lovely quaint village and everyone was friendly. The cottage had its own wood burner which looked at smelt gorgeous. Maddie our dog loved it aswell, we will definitely recommend hill side. Thank you.

We enjoy our break at Hill View. It was very cosy but the best bit was the pub next door - good ale and food and very dog friendly. We know the area very well but, although the weather forecast was poor it was not as bad as expected and we did get some good walks in as well as experiencing the great Lakeland air. Thank you.
