Apartment situated on the ground floor of the owner’s home, enjoying a tranquil location in the stunning Esthwaite Valley, just four miles from Lake Windermere.

This one-bedroomed ground-floor apartment is situated in the hamlet of Knipe Fold; a collection of houses close to the beautiful Tarn Hows. There are accessible walks in the area, and the National Trust even offers hire of Tramper mobility scooters, so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the local landscape. The village of Hawkshead, with its shops, pubs, and interesting historic buildings, is just 1.5 miles from the apartment, and makes a lovely place to while away an afternoon.

This apartment is situated on the ground floor of the owner’s home, whilst still providing guest with a high level of privacy. Guests enter the property via the porch which makes a handy place to leave muddy boots before continuing inside to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its lovely countryside views. A sofa and armchair provide comfortable seating here, gathered around the electric coal-effect fire and TV. The dining table seating two, is ideal for enjoying a romantic meal, whilst the kitchen to the rear of the room, is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge. The simply decorated, peaceful bedroom with twin beds whilst the adjacent bathroom offers shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is a beautiful garden, mainly set to lawn, which expansive views to the surrounding countryside. Off-road parking is provided for one car and there is secure bike storage available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely comfortable cottage in ideal location for walking

Hillside is a cosy property, well maintained, a bit old fashioned in many ways but well equipped. Hillside is not very spacious but is large enough for a party of 2. Beds are comfy, there is a storage and the bathroom is very clean. The road to get to the property offers very limited visibility so just drive slowly.
