Beautiful, eco-friendly, detached property in a stunning rural location near Hawkshead, beautifully finished by skilled local craftsmen.

This cottage enjoys a simply stunning location in amongst a small cluster of cottages close to Tarn Hows, a National Trust managed area of countryside, which offers a circular accessible walking route with beautiful mountain views. The villages of Coniston and Hawkshead are both under two miles away, each offering a range of shops and pubs, whilst Hawkshead also has The Beatrix Potter Gallery. Coniston Water and Lake Windermere are both a short drive from the property and offer a range of water sports and pleasure cruises, meaning that everyone can enjoy the lakes, whether you want a relaxing or active holiday.

This detached cottage offers guests a wonderful place to stay in the stunning surrounds of the Lake District. Entering the cottage through the entrance hall, guests will come to the spacious living room. There are two distinct areas to this room, which can be divided by glass doors into two separate spaces if desired. The lower end has the TV and DVD, as well as French windows which lead out to the patio, whilst two steps up lead to the second area which is dominated by the impressive stone fireplace which now houses the cosy wood burner. This space makes a relaxing retreat, with its comfortable seating and window seat which offers scenic views across the valley. The bespoke kitchen has been thoughtfully and stylishly finished and is well-equipped with a Range cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in a separate utility room where you will also find a very useful drying cabinet.  The property’s dining room is located in a light and airy extension, which benefits from French windows giving access to the garden and an additional TV. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The first of which is the master-suite with double bed, TV, and en-suite shower room with WC. The two further bedrooms are a double and a twin, which, again have their own TV. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden, which is perfect for all the family with both a lawn area and a large patio seating area with tables and chairs. Off-road parking for two cars is provided. Bikes can also be stored in the garage. The property’s owners are rightfully proud of the cottage’s eco-credentials, which include a ground-source heat system and solar panels, which keep the property lovely and cosy.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Quiet, cosy, comfortable cottage. We didn't use the car all week as able to walk from cottage to most places. Hawkshead only 30 minute walk away via a beautiful quiet lane. Compared to other cottages we've rented with same spec, through Lakeland Hideaways, this one is more expensive. Very attractive, comfortable and spacious cottage, well equipped and stylishly furnished. There is a lovely flow to the downstairs and the bedrooms are bright and roomy with plenty of storage. The little garden is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the views. Great location with walks from the door and a short drive to Ambleside or Hawkshead. If the floorboards upstairs were repaired so they didn't creak I would definitely recommend this cottage. The lane the cottage is situated on is very narrow so driver beware. However it is easy to find and the views are spectacular.The cottage was very clean and in a stunning location

A lovely warm retreat for winter breaks, ideally located for walking and visiting anywhere in the Lakes. The cottage was extended and refurbished recently to a very high standard.

We enjoyed a weeks stay at this lovely cozy cottage which was a perfect base for the daily family walks we shared with our children and springer spaniel Jax! Plenty of nice pubs to eat out at and a daily delivery from the milkman / perfect. Would definitely return to the lakes with our family to continue sharing special times together -10/10

Excellent accommodation with all the appropriate needs for a wonderful holiday. Cottage in a lovely setting with great views Across the countryside. Very dog friendly with a lovely garden. We had a wonderful time with everything supplied for our needs. The cottage was immaculate throughout and very well laid out.
