Lantern Cottage is located in the centre of Hawkshead so it was exciting to see the stalls being set up for the christmas market, which was the highlight of the weekend. Atmosphere was fabulous along with great food in all of the pubs.

Lovely quaint cottage ideally situated just off the main square in picturesque Hawkshead close to facilities ( eateries, cafes, post office & co-op) The cottage catered for our needs and our family had a great weekend

A well equipped comfortable and warm cottage. Lounge/diner and kitchen quite small but enough for us five adults & a dog. Four pubs, three+ cafes and a grocers within a few hundred yards is a boon. A washer/dryer is listed but it's actually only a washer. Providing coal for the fire was a nice touch. Be aware that there is no outside space if that'Read mores important to you: the parking is in a public car park a short distance away. We would certainly be happy to stay there again. Hide

Excellent weekend break right in the Centre of Hawkshead Lovely, comfortable property right in the heart of Hawkshead village. The location is perfect and the log burner in the cottage was perfect to return to at the end of a day out walking.
