A bit isolated but this is also the strength of the property. We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday, driving out to the attractions of the Lake District and then returning for a quiet evening. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the decking beside the river

This is our second visit to the cottage and it was even more perfect than the last time. The location is stunning - so peaceful - yet within easy reach of Keswick and Whinlatter. The host Eric is lovely and also his cheeky Beagle Belle.

Very comfortable cottage run by a friendly man who was most attentive. The view over the river is superb and perfect for water loving dogs as there are good walks all around. This location is a good base for climbing or visiting the many tourist attractions of the Lake District.
