Approached down a country lane, next to the village church and in a rural setting is this detached barn conversion located within owner’s grounds and features a private garden seating area overlooking the rolling countryside an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Located just outside the pretty lime tree village of Dufton, three miles north of Appleby in Cumbria. The property lies on both the Pennine Way and Cumbria Cycle Way. You can approach Cross Feel (the highest point in the Pennines) or High Cup Nick from the village. The U-shaped valley is one of the highlights of the Pennine Way described by Wainwright as an “unforgettable sight a natural wonder” and is also perfect for exploring the moorlands and valleys of the river Eden. Appleby is nearby where you can catch the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway or take a visit to the natural beauty of High Force.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 twin zip-and-link (which can be made into double on request) and 1 twin. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Separate WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with electric fire and TV. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Utility room: with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and bike storage. Outside: patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Location: shop and pub within walking distance.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Absolutely delightful place to stay for a 'get away from it all' break. Dufton village is an easy walk (less than a mile) where the local pub and cafe both do fantastic food with friendly service. The cottage is delightfully secluded and quiet with easy access on foot to good walks both in the valley and up on the fells. Well supplied with all the Read moreessentials (including canine essentials!) and a comfortable base for your holiday. Excellent for walkers and as a relaxing holiday retreat! Hide

Fabulous cottage in a good location, very peaceful . good walking from the door, on the pennine way. The Stag Inn in the village good pub with excellent food. Our hosts were wonderful nothing was too much trouble. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

Idyllic rural location but close to major East/West and North/South routes had a lovely restful weeks break on our trip North. First time we have tried this and will definitely repeat in the future.
