Highly recommended. The only problem was the kids didn't want to leave.

Lovely, quirky property in a great location with superb views of Blencathra to the north, and Clough Head to the south. Pub at Scales within walking distance along roadside footpath. Small property, but with enough equipment. Small beds for kids - our 12 year old was as big as the bed would take. Fantastic novelty holiday which our boys will remember forever. Lovely touches particularly for children like the dressing up costumes etc Great location for exploring the Lakes. Only downside was that downstairs was cold during the night (end of October). Would recommend taking extra blankets as none were provided. Kitchen is lovely but compact - Read moreno freezer, dishwasher, microwave and the fridge is actually a wine cooler but there's plenty of storage. On the whole, we loved it! Hide

What a great little place to stay. My son was so excited about staying in the fire truck. The firemans pole is such a good idea. For both little and big kids. Fun accommodation for a few days.

A fabulous venue for our honeymoon. Lovely co-ordinator who ensured we had everything we needed. Being on its own provided seclusion and a lovely outside space. Very comfortable and clean, excellent standard. Would definitely recommend
