Beautiful property right on the shores of Lake Windermere, with sloping gardens leading down to a private jetty, which is just a 10 minute walk away.

This property is set in an elevated positionabove Lake Windermere, giving it a much sought-after location. The lake itself is just a short walk from the front door and offers visitors the opportunity to, try out a range of water sports, or simply enjoy scenic walks around the lake’s edge. The ferry  is nearby, giving the opportunity for both foot passengers and cars to take an enjoyable trip across the lake to Bowness, with its opportunities for outdoor pursuits,  World of Beatrix Potter attraction. and Cruises on the lake.

This property has been designed and built to make the most of the stunning views over Lake Windermere and this is the first thing that will attract the attention of guests. The spacious lounge has large floor-to-ceiling windows, and comfortable seating from which to watch activity on the lake, and also offers a lovely open fire and TV. The contemporarily styled kitchen/diner has a large dining table at one end of the room from which the lake views can be enjoyed from the French windows, which open out onto the terrace, making it easy to enjoy alfresco meals in the warmer months. The kitchen area is well-equipped with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine, tumble dryer and an extra fridge can be found in the garage, which also makes a great place to dry clothes and boots and to store bikes. Three of the property’s bedrooms are situated on the ground floor: There are two small single bedrooms and a twin room with  2ft6inch singles that can be joined on request to  create a king size bed . There is a contemporary shower room with double shower and WC is conveniently located at the same end of the house. Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms: a double, and a twin, as well as a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, the property has an acre of gardens, with a stone patio seating area close to the house, and sloping lawns and shrubs creating a wonderful space that children and dogs will enjoy. Guests are welcome to moor their own boat at the jetty by prior arrangement. There is ample parking on driveway and secure bike storage in the garage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Satter Knotts is the ideal get away cottage. Located in one of the most peaceful locations around lake Windermere it has the most stunning view of the lake, from the hillside. Everything you need is in the cottage or garden and even better they permit dogs so a perfect family holiday

A very beautiful spacious house with spectacular views over Windermere. The car ferry is less than 5 mins drive away, which was very handy. The milkman delivers daily a whole host of items including dogs treats, which was handy. Office staff in Hawkshead were really friendly and helpful. The location and view from Satter Knotts was fantastic. The living room was a cosy comfortable place for us all to be and enjoy the view over Windermere. The garden is spacious and a great place for our adult childrens easter egg hunt and the kitchen table was a good size for evening board games.

This property was everything we imagined. For a family getaway, with magnificent views, it was amazing. To absolutely put the icing on the cake, most mornings we were privileged to have a family of five deer in the front garden!!!

What a lovely house and a fantastic view over Lake Windermere this is a view that you would never tire of. The house was very warm even on the coldest of days. Everything that you needed was available. There were 8 people a baby and a dog in our party and the house is so big we were almost lost in it. Satter Knotts was everything we were looking for. Amazing view, quiet location, large garden, detached property, lots of private parking. We stayed the week before Christmas. It was a very warm and comfortable property. Some areas have been recently refurbished; the carpets were pretty new too. Other areas will obviously be updated in the future buRead moret when fully refurbished it may be out of our price range. It was nice and clean, the showers were good and the kitchen had a good variety of equipment. The view at night to the other side of the lake and the lights was lovely. The lake feels so much closer than the photographs on the website can show. Satter Knott is definitely on our list to revisit. What a View ! We had a wonderful 4 day break, this house is very comfortable and spacious in the living areas, the bed rooms are a bit small. but who cares, it has every thing you would need on holiday, you have room to spread out, you could lose 6-8 people in this house easily , we only had 4 , it was heaven and the view is to die for. not only tRead morehat the visiting wild life was an added bonus, three deer and four sheep and birds galore. we would love to stay here again Hide

We had a really lovely stay at Satter Knotts, It rained the whole time but the views of the lake and the cozy living room kept us happy. There are walks out of the door and two lovely pubs very close by. We'll be back!
