STUNNING LAKE DISTRICT ESCAPE SURROUNDED BY DRAMATIC LAKELAND SCENERY

This stylish property has been fully refurbished in 2016 to provide a tranquil escape for the whole family to relax and unwind together. Elegantly decorated and furnished throughout with expert attention to detail throughout.

The cottage is situated in the popular village of Braithwate, conveniently located to the A66. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, lakes and countryside the area is a haven for active folk both on land and water. An abundance of walks and cycle routes can be explored from the doorstep. Keswick is a tourist hot spot and provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries and parks to enjoy all on the doorstep of Derwentwater. The Theatre by the lake, Honister Slate Mine, Catbells Lakeland Walk, Kewswick museum are all within easy reach. For the adrenaline junkies the area provides the hugely popular 'Go Ape' alongside river rafting and tubing, climbing, ziplines and aerial adventure park for an unforgettable day out.

This is a stunning and beautifully decorated cottage throughout, with each room having their own identity whilst still having a sense of flow throughout. Starting at the large lounge / diner, this is a bright and airy space with magnificent glass bi-folding doors out onto the garden, and attractive and comfortable sofas to relax in. The dining area, surrounded by windows, brings the outside in, when  it might be a little chilly to sit outdoors. This is a great area for socialising and spending time with your loved ones. Walking down 3 steps at the other end of the lounge to the fresh, white kitchen, it is well-equipped to rustle up the evening meal, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. Moving through the cottage to the bedrooms, there is 1 king -size with TV and DVD as well as an en-suite shower room, 1 double with TV and DVD and 2 twins also with TV and DVD, all tastefully decorated and full of light. The main bathroom is on the first floor with a shower attachment on the bath and WC. Back downstairs, there is also a shower room with WC and a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Continuing outside, there are well-kept private lawned gardens and a patio area - perfect for watching the sun go down with a  glass in hand after a busy day of exploring.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Great house with lots of space. Very modern with all the appliances and comfort you’d find in your own home. The owners were lovely and we found them helpful, especially upon arrival.

This was a great cottage, great location just of the A66 near Keswick which has a great local market Thursday and Saturday, lots of sound walks on your doorstep. Should recommend to anyone. Very well equipped massive garden and barbecue area. Couldn’t fault at all 5stars.

Excellent location for walking and eating out. Clean and well decorated. Utility room good for boots and washing. Dog friendly place where she could wander in large rear garden safely.

Super downstairs living space, very well equipped with everything one needed to be able to enjoy a holiday in the Lake District whatever the weather. Comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathrooms, the downstairs shower was especially useful.

This is a lovely new cottage, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent location just two miles from Keswick with a bus stop nearby, and two pubs and a small shop are within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay at Stile End Cottage. The accommodation was excellent, in terms of both cleanliness and specification, and Mr & Mrs Duncan were super hosts. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property, and hope to return ourselves.

We had a great stay at Stile End Cottage. The cottage was very homely and welcoming. The living room and open plan dinning and seating area was particularly good and as we were fortunate enough to have a sunny weekend, the large bifold doors open onto a very cosy terrace area which was a great sun trap. The beds were very comfy and the cottage spotless throughout. We had 6 adults with 2 kids and 2 babies staying and there was plenty of space for us all. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We wanted a property to sleep 8 ( and it had to be dog friendly) for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday, Stile End cottage absolutely exceeded our expectations - it's beautifully done throughout to a high standard, it's warm and cosy (under floor heating is fab!), the kitchen was well equipped, the furniture and furnishings all excellent. Our dog's crate fitted nicely into the utility room and she loved the large garden! No dogs upstairs which is very sensible. Superb!
