The cottage is situated in the popular village of Braithwate, conveniently located to the A66. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, lakes and countryside the area is a haven for active folk both on land and water. An abundance of walks and cycle routes can be explored from the doorstep. Keswick is a tourist hot spot and provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries and parks to enjoy all on the doorstep of Derwentwater. The Theatre by the lake, Honister Slate Mine, Catbells Lakeland Walk, Kewswick museum are all within easy reach. For the adrenaline junkies the area provides the hugely popular 'Go Ape' alongside river rafting and tubing, climbing, ziplines and aerial adventure park for an unforgettable day out.

The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 1 king-size with TV/DVD and en-suite shower room and WC, 1 double with TV/DVD and 2 twins with TV/DVD  . Bathroom: with bath and shower over and WC. Shower room: with shower and WC, on the ground floor. Lounge/kitchen/diner: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: bi-folding doors leading onto patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Shared lawned gardens. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Location: shop and pub within walking distance. Arrival: 4pm.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We had a wonderful stay at Stile End Cottage. The accommodation was excellent, in terms of both cleanliness and specification, and Mr & Mrs Duncan were super hosts. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property, and hope to return ourselves.

The living room and open plan dinning and seating area was particularly good and as we were fortunate enough to have a sunny weekend, the large bifold doors open onto a very cosy terrace area which was a great sun trap. A modern property just off the A66 on the outskirts of Braithwaite. There is a little noise from the main road traffic. It is warm and comfortable with all mod cons, comfortable beds and is very clean. There is parking for 4 cars with a little shuffling about. The cottage was first class. Comfortable, well equipped and ideally located. We really enjoyed our stay. The kids and the dogs loved the garden and after a long day enjoying what the lakes has to offer is was a pleasure to come home to.
