This spacious light and airy cottage offers fantastic views over the River Cocker a perfect setting to soak up the evening air after a day exploring the Lakes.

This property is less than a mile from the centre of Cockermouth you can walk cycle or drive and explore the shops, restaurants and pubs. Less than a 10 minute drive away you reach the beautiful harbour town of Maryport where you can look over to the Scottish mountain ranges or visit the award winning Lake District Coast Aquarium. Within a 20 minute drive you will find yourself in the picturesque market town of Keswick where you can explore the Cumberland Pencil Museum or why not take in a show at the Theatre by the Lake. You can fish for salmon and trout from the riverbank directly in front of the cottage with a permit, or watch the ponies and sheep as they graze in the adjoining field, a small play area is available for children  The cottage is perfectly positioned to be able to explore the north and central Lake District.

Entering the property you will see to your left a twin room with en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and WC. From the hallway, you will enter the lounge and kitchen which is bright and airy with views across the river, the kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with two sofas and a reclining chair, TV and CD/DVD. Leading from the lounge you can access the conservatory where there is a dining table with seating for four, you will also find a washing machine and tumble dryer, this is a wonderful area for you to enjoy the views on offer. The double bedroom is accessed from the lounge with en-suite wet room with shower and WC.

Outside of the cottage you have a large decked area with table and chairs and a BBQ, here you can enjoy the unspoilt view directly over the river. Off-road parking for two cars is available at the side of the cottage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20 for up to 7 nights, £40 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20 for every week or part week thereafter.

Very Quiet Location yet only 5 minutes to centre of town. only sounds were the 4 ponies , 2 sheep and the river. A very relaxing holiday. Eric the owner was Great...Wine and Chocolates on arrival.

Lovely cottage in a lovely place. Very comfortable and the beds were wonderful! Owner of the property very welcoming,friendly and helpful. We loved the ponies in the field who came to visit us every day, popping their heads over the wall. They love carrots! Would love to go there again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here in this lovely clean cottage in such a beautiful setting. Well suited for disabled guests. Eric was very caring, helpful & friendly. Would love to go back.

The owner, Eric, was on site and very friendly and approachable... as was his collection of sheep, ponies and dogs. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. Lovely to sit outside in the evening after a day stomping up hills.
