Just some 'basics' were missing. Maybe this is usual for self catering but we would have put to good use some washing up liquid, hand soap and salt. Otherwise it was a lovely cottage with everything else we wanted/needed.

Very clean and lovely cottage. Beautiful location with plenty of walks around the village. Would definitely recommend renting this cottage just beware of the low door height into bathroom and hallway as my son hit his head a few times!!

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable old cottage, tastefully decorated and with plenty of character. It has a lovely view across the village green to hills beyond. It is well situated for visits to the Lake District and also Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish borders.
