Lovely little cottage in a quiet location. Some great personal touches by the owners - small towels for wet and muddy paws, milk, tea and coffee on arrival etc. Only 10 minutes from Keswick and on the doorstep of the Northern Lakes. We loved our stay and would definitely think of staying there again.

We found Elm cottage warm and comfortable and very clean. The cottage had everything we needed and is well situated for easy access to nearby towns and villages where we were pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do in November in the most vial of weather. The Gallery above is a must see. We spent hours up there where we found some unusual Read moregifts. Will definitely come back again. Hide

The studio is in a beautiful area of the Lake district and makes a good base for sight seeing around the North Lakes. Thornthwaite is a small village and there is not much there, so you may need to travel to Keswick for provisions.

Cosy small studio apartment situated in beautiful Thornthwaite. Owners were very helpful making sure we were able t find the property when we arrived late and in the dark. The apartment does not have all mod cons but given the rental price I consider it offers good value for money.

A great little cottage ideally located for lovely walks & caters for pets. This was a great base to get around from and had everything we needed for a very relaxing break. Would definitely come back again.

Excellent location for a break. Garden area shared but didn't seem to be used by the other 2 residents. Very quiet and picturesque. Bed very comfortable but 2 seater couch a bit cramped.

A return visit! I came back because it's such a good base! For me, I only need a dog friendly place to lay my head as I planned on being out all day! Comfy bed, dog friendly garden, fab local walking close by, on the A66!

Very nice apartment, clean and well equipped ! Glad we where the only people in , so we didn't have to share the garden !

Lovely place - would book again. Very peaceful and in a great spot for walks right from the door. The accommodation is part of an old stone building, which has an art gallery and cafe. Good parking and nice garden. Nice touches like milk in the fridge, provision of towels and a friendly welcome from the owners.
