We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Three Springs and for our first visit to Coniston the cottage was ideally located for exploring the village, the lake and the fells on foot and a great location for a base to explore the wider area of South Lakes in the car. The cottage was undoubtably one of the best we have stayed in. It was absolutely immaculateRead more, well maintained and very warm and cosy...we couldnt have asked for more to be honest. Hide

Thank you for such a lovely stay at Three Springs. We had a wonderful time! The house was so welcoming and very well equipped. Everything was clean and accessible. The accommodation was comfortable and having the wood burner on in the evening after a day walking was wonderful. The house was very child and dog friendly which was very handy for uRead mores. The location is perfect, close to the centre of Coniston and near a number of places to eat and drink. The garage is close and has a shop with all of the basics needed. The local shop is very well stocked too. Although the approach road was tricky being very short yet steep, narrow and winding we did not find it an issue. Some of our party decided it was best to park in the town and walk up to the house to avoid the drive up. The house is definitely a hidden gem! Hide

We had a wonderful few days staying at Three Springs. The location and the cottage were perfect for us and the two dogs, so warm and cosy with the lovely wood burner fire and comfy sofas! The first time driving up the lane to the cottage was a little challenging, the steepness took us all by surprise but once we were used to it it just added a littRead morele excitement to the end of each day. We have been to Three Springs for a number of years and our reasons for returning regularly have not changed-it remains a welcoming and very well located venue which somehow perfectly matches what's wanted for a Lakes holiday, where walking and uncertain weather are key.We do plan to return.

This was our first dog friendly cottage holiday and we were really impressed with the whole process from initial booking to our stay. Three Springs felt home from home with everything you would need for a relaxing stay . Good size, clean and well maintained, plenty of hot water and fabulous location. Lovely welcome tray on arrival. We have a large Read moredog and there was ample room in hall for a large dog crate/bed and he loved the slate/tiled floors in hall and kitchen. Secure garden, although not large, was a big plus for letting dog out.The view from cottage was superb. A quieter location just out of main town which suited us with easy walking distance to centre. Off road parking a bonus particularly in high season. Plenty of dog friendly pubs/cafes but we didn't get to try them all so we will have to come back again and sample the rest!We will definitely book again and would recommend both Lakeland Cottage Company and Three Springs.
