Coniston village is just over a mile away and offers a range of outdoor activity providers, shops, pubs, cafes and a highly rated Bistro. The Boating Centre is a great place from which to hire boats, take boat trips on the famous Gondola (a Victorian steam yacht) and Launches or just simply feed the ducks and enjoy an ice cream.

Tinkler Beck Farm offers a combination of style and comfort, coupled with an enviable position close to the lake. This holiday retreat is equally suited to both those who want to relax and those looking for adventures. The staircase leads to the first floor where there are 2 light, restful king-size bedrooms and 1 lovely twin room as well as a contemporary bathroom with over bath shower WC and washbasin.

Outside there is a sunny patio area, a great spot for alfresco dining and across the track from the property a lovely grassy paddock, ideal for family games. The cottage is set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings and is well maintained. The cottage is spacious but with a cosy ambience. The wood burning stove adds to the cosiness. The kitchen is very well equipped, lots of work tops and with an instant supply of hot water. All rooms were clean and in the bedrooms the beds were very comfortable and therRead moree was adequate storage space for clothes etc. It's always useful to have extra toilet and washing facilities and the downstairs shower room and toilet provided this. The courtyard offered the facility to sit outside and overlook the lake and it was very pleasant to walk the short distance from the house to the lakeside, complete with breath-taking views of the hills and fields. All in all it was a pleasure to spend a weekend at Tinkler Beck Farm. Hide

hank-you, we had a lovely week. We have stayed at Tent Lodge Estate many times over the years and love the accomodation and most inportantly for us the bank side where we can launch our boats and canoes and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. We have not stayed in Tinkler Beck Farm before but always wanted to it has such lovely appeal from the ouRead moretside - it was a lovely place to stay, everything light and bright and spacious with everything you could need for a pleasant stay. Many thanks for confirming the return of the damage deposit. This wasour first (probably not the last!) stay at Tinkler Beck Farm. We absolutely loved the location of the cottage, especially with the lakeside being just a short stroll down through the private well-kept grounds which enabled us to keep and launch our kayaks at the private jetties. WeRead more were treated to beautiful weather during our two week stay and took advantage of the bbqs that were freely available more than once, again down at the lakeside. From the Farm, we often walked up to Grizedale, Tarn Hows and into Coniston village so we didn't even need to take the car out every day which is a bonus. The house comfortably accommodated six people and the kitchen was very well equipped. I found the service you provided was excellent, all round we had a super time and I will definitely recommend the Tinkler Beck estate and yourselves in future. Hide
