Whatever you are looking for in a Lakeland holiday, it is all available within easy access of this 17th century property. The nearby village of Hawkshead has a range of shops and pubs, as well as plenty of history with its Beatrix Potter Gallery and Grammar School, once attended by William Wordsworth. Walkers and climbers of all levels will find themselves spoilt for choice, with accessible walks at Tarn Hows and challenging climbs at Dow Crag and Hodge Close Quarry. The boating centre on Coniston Water, where guests can hire boats, canoes, and paddle boards, is just five miles away, whilst is a short drive in the opposite direction.

The large shared hallway provides a place to hang coats and leave boots, before entering the spacious lounge/diner, with its wood burner effect electric fire, views over the garden and TV and DVD. There is comfortable seating in this area, whilst towards the other end of the room, the dining table seats four. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven, fridge, microwave, and washing machine. There are two bedrooms, the first a pretty double and the other a tasteful single, both of which provide a calming and restful atmosphere. The property’s bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, the property has five acres of lovely shared gardens, which are well-maintained with plenty of seating areas in which to relax. There is a barn area where guests can store their bicycles and off-road parking is provided.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
