ideal location only 10 minutes walk from Hawkshead. Very quiet cottage with stunning views. The owners were very helpful while still very discreet. You would never thought they lived upstairs. Also this is the cleanliest cottage we stayed. Perfect

We had a lovely stay at Woodys Nook, we had a warm welcome from the owners Sheila and Malcolm,we even got an invite to their garden party where we met a few more of the locals, who made a great fuss of our lab Bailey. Woodys was well equipped, clean and very comfortable, the view from the living room window was beautiful. The location was only a shorRead moret walk to the village, either along the road or across the fields on the public footpath. Hopefully we will be visiting again soon. Hide

Very warm clean and cosy cottage. Good location for various attractions and walks and easy access to the town's of Coniston, Windermere, Ambleside, and Kendal. Though Landlord lives upstairs you will never even know they are there. They are also very helpful and lovely. Will recommend for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing time away.

The location of the cottage is perfect as it is only a short walk into Hawkshead across a well worn path over the fields. The cottage has everything you need and has one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Views from the living area looking out over the garden and beyond were simply outstanding! Would definitely love to return here!
