Apartment for two, situated on the ground floor of the owner’s property, with views across the Esthwaite Valley, close to some Hawkshead, Claife Heights and Lake Windermere.

This property enjoys a lovely location in the hamlet of Rogerground, which is just a short walk away from the traffic-free village of Hawkshead, famed for its connections to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. There are plenty of countryside walks available nearby and both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are within a short drive of the property. Not to be missed is a visit to Claife Heights, a purpose-built viewing platform, which offers unrivalled views over Lake Windermere. Adventurous types will enjoy a trip to Grizedale Forest, where there is a Go-Ape centre with high-ropes and a zip wire.

This ground-floor apartment offers a relaxing place to stay for two people, the owners live just upstairs, but your privacy will always be respected. The lounge/diner is the main living area and offers views over the valley, comfortable seating, a dining table for two, electric fire, and TV. The sunny kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, and washing machine. King-size bedroom, which can be made into a twin upon request and benefits from French windows which open straight out onto a private patio area. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, the property has its own private patio to the side of the house, which is accessed through the patio doors in the bedroom. In addition to this, guests have access to the owner’s gardens, which are mainly set to lawn, with a large patio area where there is seating and a BBQ. Off-road parking is available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

a great location for walking around the Hawkshead area, and driving to visit other parts of the Lake District....the apartment is clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for a break in the Lakes...the owners are friendly, yet inobtrusive so you can relax and enjoy yourselves with privacy. highly recommended

Cosy and well equipped with a lovely garden and gorgeous views. Enjoyed the short walk to the pretty village and numerous scenic walks straight from the door.

The cottage is very well situated just outside Hawkshead there are good walks from the cottage. A very good base for Lakeland.

A hidden gem . Lovely views , peaceful setting and cosy accommodation. Woody's Nook was a revelation. We have stayed many times in the area but from here had the chance to explore new footpaths . The accommodation was of a good standard , clean and warm. The owners were helpful and welcoming ...cake on arrival! We will certainly be returning.

The location of the cottage is perfect as it is only a short walk into Hawkshead across a well worn path over the fields. The cottage has everything you need and has one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Views from the living area looking out over the garden and beyond were simply outstanding! Would definitely love to return here!

After collecting key from the office in Hawkshead we found the house easily down a short driveway,with allocated parking. The apartment was clean and well equipped with all needs catered for.Pleasant garden and quiet surroundings , ideal . Sky TV worked as needed and so did WIFI but it was a bit slow in use. Good location for days out to variousRead more places ,but some of the local roads are narrow with passing places,like to Tarn Hows a small lake but had a good walk around when we were there.Quiet and relaxing in the sunshine.
