The cottage is in a great location for exploring Northumberland. It is spacious, clean and has lovely grounds. It is comfortable and well equipped and the hot tub and games room is an added bonus. It was our first time staying there and would definitely return.

Couldnt fault one bit, amazing

The cottage was in a brilliant position close to Alnwick which was a lovely town. The cottage was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for a brilliant week away. We chose this cottage mainly for the hot tub so we could enjoy New Year in a different way. However, as the week progressed the hot tub got colder and not as inviting. The games Read moreroom was a plus and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves playing pool, but again this room had controlled heating which reduced by the end of the week. Hide

On arrival, we were impressed by the beauty of the building. We were met by the owner who was very kind and friendly and who wanted to show us the property. Considering that we were the first guests to stay in this stunning house, she was amazingly chilled and told us to make it our own. Down stairs there was a very large open plan lounge, kitchen,Read more and dining area with everything you could possibly need to live there never mind staying for a few days. To us it was like a beautiful show house. Everything was top quality, and luxurious from the carpets to the furniture and the kitchen units. There was also a very large TV with DVD player and a lot of films that we could watch. There was an outside raised decked area with a table, four chairs and sun umbrella, which meant we were able to enjoy the outside space. However if we wanted to take advantage of the outside without leaving the lounge, we could open the large bi-fold doors and bring the outside inside. Upstairs there were two large bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, both beautifully decorated and very well appointed. Each room was en-suite with fabulous showers and wonderfully decorated. They also each had there own televisions. The owners also left us an amazing welcome pack, which included, tea, coffee, milk, cheese board, biscuits, bread, both white and brown, fruit, bottled water, and chocolate. They really had thought of everything to make our stay exceptional. We will definitely be back, we loved it. Thank you so much Julie and Mick. If you are thinking of booking this fabulous house, I would say don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed, not only is it an elegant property, but also, it is very central for discovering the beauty and majesty of Northumberland.
