Charming reverse level property with spacious balcony in Widdrington in the heart of Northumberland close to Morpeth, Amble, Warkworth and areas of natural beauty.

This reverse level property is located in Widdrington, which is ideally located for exploring the Northumberland coast, famously known for its natural beauty and history. From small pretty villages, to name only a few- Craster, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh to the holy island of Lindisfarne. Being located on the east coast mainline, it opens up the opportunity to visit Morpeth, Newcastle or even Edingburgh for shopping trips.

Approach the property through gates and enter at ground level, heading up stairs to the open plan lounge/ kitchen/ dining area. To the left of the stairs is a large well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/ freezer, microwave and dishwasher. You can even pop your clothes in for a spin after a muddy walk as there is a washing machine and tumble dryer as well. The dining table is a great space to sit and enjoy a meal. The other side of this large open plan space is the lounge where you can put your feet up and watch a good bit of TV.  Heading back down the stairs you will find a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and w/c and a double bedroom with en-suite shower rom and w/c.

From the lounge you can step out on to the delightful balcony  terrace, sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a relaxing glass of wine.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

COTTAGE WAS VERY WELL EQUIPPED AND COMFORTABLE. WELL PLACED FOR LOCAL BEACHES LIKE DRURIDGE BAY, WARKWORTH AND AMBLE. Whinneycook Cottage was fabulous. I don't think we have ever stayed in such a well appointed and creatively laid out holiday property before. It was spotlessly clean and spacious with plenty of room for ourselves and two dogs. The roof terrace was a real treat on sunny days with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. A lovely cottage, bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and a lovely kitchen/ lounge upstairs which leads out onto an outside space with furniture on astro turf. Very private with views of the countryside around. In a good location with easy access to the main routes. A small Coop store a short walk away was very handy

Cottage very well equipped, dish washer, washing machine tumble dryer, eye level oven, microwave, every conceivable kitchen utensil, loads of wardrobe space, very comfortable beds, large screen Sky TV in Lounge and another Large TV in main bedroom. Home from home and immaculately clean. Brilliant.

Ideal position , close to the coast about 3 miles away and the Northumberland coastal road. In the immediate area close by a Fish & chip shop and a small bar currently not serving food. The upstairs room was big with plenty of facilities.

A fabulous cottage in a very friendly area. We spent wonderful days on beautiful beaches and harbours with out 2 dogs, roamed around Warkworth village church and strolled along river bank seeing swans and a heron along with plenty of wildlife. The beautiful field of rape seed at rear of cottage was a delight to walk around with out dogs. Not strictly a holiday for us because we were between houses and needed somewhere to stay in the meantime. A fabulous cottage, very comfortable and private, with great views. Well placed for getting out and about, 5 minutes drive to the sand dunes, 6 miles to Morpeth, 16 miles to Alnwick. Out of the back gate of the property, and straight onto a dog walk. We went for a week, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Proper dog friendly place, not just dog tolerant. Sensible furniture and colours for dogs, not pristine white bed linen etc. Roof terrace perfect to let dogs onto. Nice short break (4 nights) in a comfortable spacious cottage. Location is excellent for visiting all Northumbria has to offer. Upside down design and the outdoor seating area give wonderful views across the fields. We visited the coast at Craster/Dunstanburgh, Cragside, Bolam Lake Country Park and Hadrian's Wall. From the first impression we got as we pulled up, we we not disappointed. The 'cottage' was lovely. The layout, with the upstairs downstairs, worked really well. The open plan made everything feel spacious and the views were spectacular. Everyone was sorry to come home, including the dog! Hosts were there if you wanted them but not in your face. CoRead morettafe was within walking distance of a local shop and chippy and driving 10-15 mins for local town and beaches, which were clean and dog friendly. 5* Hide
