A traditional and welcoming bungalow situated on a sheep farm amidst stunning and peaceful countryside views over fields to the River Spey and Lochaber Hills.

Located on a working sheep farm, this bungalow is close to the village of Laggan which is situated in the South West of the Cairngorms National Park, surrounded by the Monadhliath and Grampian mountain ranges. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the peaceful countryside via trails and lanes. The BBC TV series Monarch of The Glen was filmed in and around the area so see if you can find any of the filming locations. Ample wildlife surrounds the area, perfect for those with a keen interest, from golden eagles or osprey to red deer, stags and pine martins. Opportunities for more active days out include fishing, golf, pony trekking, hill walking and mountaineering. Activities are endless, exemplified by not only these but also the ski resorts of Aviemore and Fort William, local whisky distilleries, Landmark Adventure Park, and Kincraig Wildlife Park.

Within this traditional ground floor property, the welcoming lounge consists of a Freesat TV, DVD and open fireplace with scenic rural views, perfect for spending nights in with the family. From the lounge, there is a light open-plan kitchen/diner which is well-equipped with electric oven, radio, fridge, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is also a utility room. It offers three lovely bedrooms, which allows the chance for the whole family to have a comfortable getaway: the first bedroom is a double with en-suite shower room, one twin and one single. There is also a bathroom with a bath and WC.

Outside of the bungalow is a peaceful open wooded area, table and seating to front of the property, perfect for taking in the surrounding countryside views of fields and rolling hills. Many of the rooms enjoy stunning views too.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Another great stay in a very warm and comfortable cottage, a great location which is quiet and peaceful, plenty of wildlife around including red Squirrels, Pheasants, partridge coal tits, blue tits, chaffinch, all of which are in the garden...and many stags and farm animals on your travels, will be visiting again for sure....Russ & Mandy.

Wonderful cottage with easy access to Newtonmore (10-15 minutes drive), yet secluded enough to be so peaceful at night. Waking up to mooing of cows was amazing. We loved that the cottage had both washer AND dryer. Beds were comfortable and the bed warmers were a very nice touch as my eldest daughter gets cold quicker than the rest of us! We cooked Read moreat least two meals in the cottage and found everything we needed. Great stay, highly recommended! Hide

Great location near the shop at the Laggan bridge (to the right of the reservoir, not left as shown on the homepage). Quiet with great views. We felt very well, our children (7 and 10) enjoyed the holiday (although we were traveling a lot in the car ...)

Excellent cottage, location breath taking. Ideal for an escape from it all break. Keep the bird feeders topped up and you will be well rewarded. Excellent coffee bothy/village shop in Laggan.

We go to Scotland every year and this is by far the best place we have stayed, 8 miles to the nearest shop however there is new shop opening in may that is a few 100 yards away from the property, 45 minutes to Aviemore,same to Fortwilliam, with the property over looking farmers fields means plenty of wildlife on offer, hares including some mountainRead more hares, red squirrels, Red deer (lots)and pheasants,buzzards, the cottage is comfortable not 5 star but has everything you need, already booked again! The cottage is situated with a wonderful and beautiful vista across the valley to the mountains. We were very comfortable, lovely sand warm as it was in Winter when we stayed.
