We had a fantastic New Year break at this cottage, in a remote location it is the perfect get away. The cottage has all the facilities you need to have a relaxing holiday and with amazing senery and always something to look at out of the windows. In the evenings we saw deer at the top of the garden and enjoyed lots of lovely walks around Drumbeg.

We stayed in October so took a chance with the weather which changed every 5 minutes! The location is stunning and being able to wake up in bed and see the sea was fantastic. The cottage is so well equipped it was like a home from home; without the pressures of modern life but with TV and wi fi if you want it. Local store has essentials and we saw Read morethe local deer every day. Saw a seal at nearby Clashnessie beach. Would love to return. Hide

Fabulous location, saw deer most days. Access very steep but forewarned so prepared for it. Useful local shop at Drumbeg. Interesting roads around and about, couldn't hurry if you wanted to. A wonderful base for a relaxing break, the cottage has all you need, furnished beautifully.

The Drumbeg area is only for people who like getting away from it all (like us). The cottage is perfectly located with stunning views, albeit with two similar interesting 10 mile drives via narrow roads from the main roads; the pub come hotel is also near (but check times and the need to book for all meals); there is also a shop with reasonable stoRead morecking. If you are a chiller, or wildlife lover, or outdoor person this is for you; not for shopper types. Hide

Path from parking area down to gate is VERY steep and dangerous especially when wet. Steps should be considered, but this should be made clear in the cottage details. The welcome pack consisted of a cheap bottle of white wine and a small carton of milk, already opened and therefore not to be trusted. This is the second time we've booked this cottage and we never get tired of it. This time round on the first day of arriving, I had the privilege of capturing on camera two Royal stag's at the back of the garden. On our last day I had captured a Golden eagle flying over the sea then sitting on the hill beside the cottage. I highly recommend this coRead morettage to everyone. There's so much you can do, plus the views are breathtaking. Hide
