Contemporary property sleeping eight guests, with room for two extra children, situated on an exclusive development in the village of Meare, on the edge of a quiet nature reserve.

This property is located in the village of Meare, just a short walk from the village pub and the Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve, with its abundance of wildlife. Fifteen miles to the north of the property, the resort of Burnham-on-Sea, is a traditional seaside resort with a wide sandy beach, a pier, and a range of cafes. The historic town of Glastonbury is an easy three miles away from the property, and offers a range of quirky shops, a large array of restaurants, pubs, and tearooms, as well as the famous ruinous abbey, and the legendary Chalice Well Gardens, said to be where Joseph of Arimathea left the Holy Grail.

When guests arrive at this property, they will first find themselves in the hallway which leads onto the spacious kitchen/diner with a dining table at one end, and a well-equipped kitchen area at the other, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. There is also a wood burner in this room, creating a lovely cosy atmosphere, as well as patio doors which open onto the garden. Double doors from here lead into the lounge, a light-filled room with plenty of comfortable seating allowing guests to relax in front of the Smart TV. Two of the property’s bedrooms are also on the ground floor, a double bedroom and a pleasant twin room, as is a shower room with shower and WC. Upstairs, there are three further bedrooms, all of which are double rooms. One of these, the master suite, benefits from an en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC, its own TV/DVD, and French windows leading out to a private balcony with breath-taking views across the countryside. The main bathroom on this floor has a sumptuous roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC.

There is plenty of outside space with this property, in the form of a large garden which is mainly set to lawn, alongside which, there is a gravelled seating area with garden furniture and a BBQ. There is off-road parking for three cars.

A very nice detached house in a very quite area. Its a spacious property, we had 6 guests & 2 small dogs in our party, there are 3 bathrooms so each couple had their own one. Rooms & beds were comfortable. We did want to use log burner but was told its really just for decor/apperance, but the house was very warm so didn't need it anyway. All of ourRead more party said they would stay here again. Hide

Nice house in good location. Needs a little bit more kitchen equipment to make it a home from home stay especially if you are planning on cooking and staying in.
