The location of this cottage is superb-quiet with lovely views. The garden is pretty and enclosed. The amount of equipment and furniture supplied was very good and included items not listed (e.g. iron & board, rotary drier). The washing machine has replaced one of the kitchen cupboards shown in the photos. Unfortunately the cottage and some of the Read morefurniture is very tired, and it would benefit from being re-decorated, the mattress & sofa replaced, and a deep clean. Hide

On the whole a lovely quiet place to stay with fantastic views and total privacy. Own garden and patio was great especially if you have dog. The owners never bothered us at all which I thought was a plus to. Not to far from anywhere and a 10 minute walk to a lovely friendly pub for food. Parking not an issue either. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic time at Swallows Barn, perfect for a couple and dog. The gardens are fully enclosed so no need to worry about dogs escaping. The cottage has everything you need for a break in the countryside, there are walks straight from the cottage so no need to drive anywhere and there is a lovely pub called the Rising Sun just down the road.

The cottage is located in a quiet, beautiful location for lots of walking which was exactly what we wanted. It is a cosy cottage and has all the basic amenities that you require when self catering. There are two local pubs within walking distance (10 minutes to the Rising Sun and approximately half an hour to The Bird in Hand.)
