This 17th century former cider barn has been tastefully converted, retaining much charm and character. Situated in an idyllic location at the end of a private lane, through an entrance shared only with the owner's adjoining property, a warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured.

An ideal spot for those requiring a peaceful and relaxing holiday with many walks to enjoy direct from the cottage, yet it makes an ideal base for touring the whole of Somerset. The Quantocks offer wonderful walking, from leisurely strolls to more challenging walks, including the Coleridge Way. The closest towns are Taunton and Bridgwater and both offer a range of high street shops and leisure facilities. There are also many wonderful places to visit within the area such as Clarks Village, Dunster's medieval Castle. Or travel on the steam train from Bishops Lydiard to the seaside town of Minehead.

The split-level accommodation offers ONE bedroom: king-size. Shower room: with shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: approached via a small oak staircase (7 steps) with TV, DVD and patio doors leading to the back patio. Kitchen area with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, small freezer and washing machine. Outside: front and back patios, seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, underfloor heating and Wi-Fi included (Due to location Wi-Fi signal is not very strong). Regret no smoking. Location: beach 7 miles, pub and shop 3.5 miles.

Extremely peaceful location, no internet access or mobile signal but this added to the feeling of being away from it all. Walks from the door.

Small but extremely comfortable in a very quiet location. Very welcoming owners who gave lots of advice to help us get the most from our holiday.

This is a most comfortable cottage in a delightful quiet location with lots of car parking and is well appointed. A arm welcome from the owners. However the directions to find it could be better! As we knew the area quite well we didn't have a problem but others, not accustomed to the Somerset lanes, might have problems!

Outside space fabulous especially if like us to have a dog. Owner of property very friendly and helpful. Lack of wi fi was frustrating as impacted on being able to search local area for events/ places of interest ( there were brochures in the accommodation). Would be a real problem if people need to be in touch with the outside world. The living area is small, but the cottage is charming overall, and the access to the large garden area makes it worthwhile if you have a dog. It is also in a lovely area with great walks and the Quantock Hills close by. Owner very helpful too.
