These pretty cottages have been lovingly converted from an old dairy barn in 2015. Conveniently located on a 10 acre non-working farm, in an area well-renowned for its beauty, they provide a great base from which to explore this ever popular destination.

The immediate area offers an abundance of pretty towns and villages, such as Axminster and Beaminster. Perfectly placed you will only be a short drive from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and here the seaside towns of Lyme Regis, West Bay, Beer and Burton Bradstock wait to be explored. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy the Somerset Levels, Quantock and Blackdown Hills, all offering picturesque walks, cycling, fishing, or just strolling out on one of the network of public footpaths closer to home. Other attractions accessible from here include Clarks Village, Longleat Safari Park, Yeovilton Air Museum, and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.

Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome (please kindly ensure that kept on a lead when on-site due to free-range chickens). Location: beach 15 miles, selection of pubs, shops and restaurants 2 miles.

The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: king-size with en-suite shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV/DVD and feature bi-folding floor to ceiling glass doors providing access to the garden. Kitchen area with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Outside: garden area with patio, garden furniture and BBQ.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The cottage was clean and the shower was wonderful, however the bed was very hard and we did not have one good nights sleep. There was a lovely bunch of yellow roses and a tray with goodies on to welcome us but we ended up coming home early because of the bed.

Friendly people and an immaculate cottage

Pitchback is the middle cottage of a terrace of three beautifully renovated farm buildings. The interior is bright ,modern and spotlessly clean. It is probably one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. The farm is at the end of a narrow lane surrounded by fields and the aspect from the full length patio doors is of an open green fRead moreield. Being old buildings with thick walls noise from your neighbours is non existent. You may however be scrutinised by the odd inquisitive chicken Hide

The cottage is spacious, well set out and very clean. We were met by Glen, one of the owners, prior to going into the property. He very friendly stating that if we have any problems that we should call them straight away. One of the special touches in the property was a breakfast hamper and bottle of wine, all of which added to the feeling of restfRead moreulness here. There is nothing to mark the cottage down for. A clean, comfortable cottage with a view across the hayfield from the big bi-fold doors. A lovely welcome pack was much appreciated. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, home made marmalade, butter, bread, eggs, & a bottle of Cava. Delicious! Within a short drive of several lovely places but very peaceful if you just want to relax & chill out.

For our first visit to the Jurassic Coast this has been the perfect location in an idyllic cottage. The welcome basket was a lovely addition and much appreciated. We were fortunate enough to have had beautiful weather throughout our stay (with temperatures in the high 20s). Highly recommend The Admiral Hood at Mosterton for lovely food. Apart from the sofa as mentioned above the cottage was extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming. The welcome tray was very generous and much appreciated. In spite of the issue with the sofa, we would be happy to return.
