Large contemporary property sleeping eleven guests, situated on an exclusive development in the village of Meare in North Somerset, just three miles from Glastonbury and fifteen miles from the coast.

This property is situated in the village of Meare in Somerset, within walking distance of the village pub and of the Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve, which makes a pleasant place for a relaxing country walk or an enjoyable cycle ride. The historic town of Glastonbury is only three miles away, with its breath-taking ruinous abbey, and its peaceful chalice well gardens. The shops in Glastonbury are a far-cry from the usual high-street stores, making it a wonderful town for an afternoon of browsing and exploring. Some fifteen miles to the north of the property, visitors will find the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, whilst the huge beach at Weston-Super-Mare is just a few more miles around the coast.

On arrival at this property, guests will be able to relax straight away in the spacious L-shaped lounge/diner with its thick carpets, comfortable seating, wood burner, TV/DVD, and French windows which open onto a patio. The dining area here has a dining table seating eight, whilst a second dining table seating six can be found in the separate kitchen/diner. This room is well-equipped with everything that guests will need, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A tumble dryer, meanwhile, can be found housed in the garage, which also provides a secure storage space for outdoors equipment. Three of the property’s six bedrooms are located on the ground floor, all of which are pleasant double rooms. There is also a bathroom on this floor, which offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Upstairs, there are three further bedrooms, the first of which is a wonderful king-size room which has its own balcony overlooking the gardens, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, shower, and WC. A second king-size room also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and WC whilst the final bedroom is a restful single room.

Outside, there is a large enclosed garden to the rear of the property, which is mainly set to lawn alongside a gravelled patio area which offers garden furniture and a BBQ. Private off-road parking is provided for five cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Brilliant house, very comfortable - just great for our large family group. Plenty of space and we really appreciated all the lovely tableware which made our fab group meals even better. The upstairs bedrooms are particularly lovely. The house when you see it is better than the photos which don't do it justice. As above it is a beautiful house just needs a bit of tlc and a bit more equipment, it is ideally placed to visit Bath and Wells, nice and quiet but be prepared to drive to the shops.

Fantastic house for 10 of us. Upstairs doubles especially nice. We had the balcony room as I organised everything! The pub is a long walk as its just over a mile down a very dark road so we drive there and got taxi back on New Years Eve. Only 5 mins drive into Glastonbury and Tesco for shopping. Fishing nearby as in 5 mins drive and also go kartingRead more st Cheddar about 20 mins. Nearest beach at Burnham on Sea is 30 mins drive . Would recommend the house but just needs hanging space in bedrooms Hide

Lovely, homely cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery. The bedrooms were all Decorated nicely and the kitchen is perfect size for 10 of us. We spent Xmas 2017 here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice welcoming dog friendly pub down the road which was good fun. Loved the log fire great touch

Beautifully done modern house with ample space for everyone, even the smallest bedroom was a great size. Nice looking garden (although we didnt venture into it) with space for kids to run and adults to relax. The lounge has a lovely log burner, making the november nights super cosey. Its in a great location, just short drives from glastonbury and wRead moreells, but not much to do/see in the village if you didnt want to bundle into the car. Hide

We stayed at The Mill House at Meare for a short family break, it catered for all our needs and gave enough space for 4 generations to enjoy our holiday in our own ways i.e. Grandma could have quiet time while children ran around and had fun! We would certainly recommend this cottage for a family break.
