Set in the heart of the historic city of Wells, this spacious terraced former grain store has lovely cathedral views and original flagstones. A choice of pubs, restaurants, shops and leisure facilities within walking distance.


This spacious terraced cottage has lovely views of the Cathedral and is perfect for those looking for things to do on your doorstep. Wells is the smallest city in England and is steeped in history.

Enjoy some lovely strolls around the ancient streets including Vicar's Close, the oldest, complete, continuously inhabited medieval street in Europe, The Bishops Palace and the famous market. There is also a choice of popular pubs, restaurants, shops and leisure facilities. At the foot of the Mendip Hills, you will also be close to attractions to suit all tastes which include Roman Bath, Clarks Village at Street, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and the beaches on the north coast which are 10 miles away.

Recently redecorated throughout with a brand new kitchen and bathroom, the former grain store with some original flagstones offers TWO bedrooms: both with views, 1 double with en-suite WC and1 twin (additional bed available suitable for small children only). Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: with TV and DVD. Dining room: with additional seating, flatscreen TV/DVD (for DVD viewing only.) Kitchen: low level ceiling with cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Outside: small patio area at rear with seating. Amenities: roadside parking. Bed linen, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 Dog Welcome. Location: beach 10 miles, shops and pubs all walking distance.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Clean and well priced, we found the property to be well located for Longleat, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Bath and Bristol which were the main places we wanted to visit over the week. We found fresh flowers when we arrived and supplies for making tea/coffee including a fresh pint of milk which was very considerate. Board games were available . A GaRead morestro pub opposite serves delightful food. Wells itself is only a five minute walk. Parking locally can be a challenge due to traffic movements. Hide

This is a lovely comfortable cottage, it is within easy walking distance of the cathedral and city centre. It is however on quit a busy road and parking is difficult but this didn't bother us. Yes we would stay again.

The property is ideally situated for easy walking access to the City centre and all its amenities. The view of the Cathedral is great but it should be pointed out that with its close proximity the chiming of the bells can be quite loud especially in the early hours. The location of the property at a busy road junction also produces significant trafRead morefic noise, with the two points listed above it should be recommended to take ear plugs if you are anything but a heavy sleeper. I loved this Cottage as soon as I walked in the door. It is the first time I have holidayed alone, and I felt very comfortable here, also it is a perfect location, just minutes walk away from everything you are likely to need, Cathedral, shops and places to eat, I only went out in car once as I was happy where I was.

One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. The only problem was the street parking. If we went out for the day, we found ourselves coming back earlier than we might otherwise have done because we were afraid there might not be any spaces later.

We had a lovely stay in this holiday cottage which is perfectly situated for exploring Wells on foot as it is so near to the magnificent cathedral and its environs and the city centre. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.
