An idyllic chocolate-box property that’s wonderfully positioned for exploring the beauty of the surrounding area, including spectacular walks through the New Forest and along the Solent coastline.

Ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts with great walking and cycling routes nearby making it a great base for a car-free holiday. If you wander through the gate at the back of the property, a short stroll will lead you to the open forest where you are greeted with an array of walking routes and beautiful countryside to admire. Horse riding at Ford Farm Stables at Brockenhurst, the Motor Museum at Beaulieu, or trips to Mudeford Quay, which is great for a spot of crabbing, are popular with families visiting the area. Jump aboard the Mudeford Ferry for visits to the sandy beach haven of Spit where there is the popular Beach House Cafe Bar, where dogs are welcome.

Complete with peaceful gardens and a white picket fence, period features are combined with modern fittings situated in the New Forest. The open plan ground floor living area is centred on the idyllic woodburner, perfect for chilly evenings and the flat screen TV and DVD player allows guests to catch up with their favourite shows or stick on a DVD for evening entertainment. The country style kitchen is equipped with all the essentials and the range cooker, butler sink, and large oak dining table, which is perfect for social dining, add to the charm of the property. Open up the doors that lead out to the pretty gardens from the kitchen and admire the scenery during a relaxing family meal. The handy ground floor cloakroom and WC is great for storing muddy boots and coats after a day exploring the open forest. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the master bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, plus an ensuite with a bath with shower over and a WC. The second bedroom offers a king-size bed and ensuite shower room with a large walk in shower and WC.

The pretty gardens outside are completed with a BBQ, garden furniture and sun parasol. The sun trap patio area is great for unwinding and the stable block at the end of the garden can store your bicycles. There is off road parking for two cars to the front of the property and if you decide to bring your dogs along for your holiday too, the New Forest offers plenty of open countryside for them to enjoy.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cottage with all the facilities needed to make your holiday accommodation home from home. The owner lives in the adjoining cottage and was very helpful without being at all intrusive. Overall, we would highly recommend.

A lovely comfortable cottage for a cosy get away in the New Forest. Very well equipped, comfortable sitting and kitchen dining areas with the added bonus of lovely comfy beds. A self-contained garden was great for our dogs and the village of Sway boasts two pubs/eating places, a hotel, a butchers and all necessary local shops within strolling distaRead morence. The cottage was delightful and suited myself and my sister perfectly. We loved the daily visits from next doors cats and the eggs from next door's chicken were delicious. The booking procedure was straightforward and user-friendly.

Perfect location for forests & beaches. The cottage had a wonderful Log burner for chilly evenings. We enjoyed Go Ape at Moors Valley Country Park and the Beach cafe at Barton on Sea.
