Nestled amidst the outstanding natural beauty of the New Forest, this property is a wonderful rural idyll positioned in the charming hamlet of Godshill. Guests can enjoy wildlife in abundance, right on the doorstep.

A charming and spacious large holiday cottage in the pretty hamlet of Goshill, with New Forest ponies found at the garden gate. There are fabulous cycling and walking routes straight from the doorstep with routes for all abilities available from gentle strolls to more serious rambles. The riverside town of Fordingbridge is about two miles from the cottage and offers a supermarket for picking up essentials and a selection of independent shops. Further afield are the larger towns of Ringwood and Salisbury. On evenings you would prefer not to cook, the Fighting Cocks pub is a two minute walk from the property and there are an array of outdoor pursuits available across the New Forest for the whole family to enjoy.

Complete with a sunny conservatory and secluded garden with furniture and BBQ, there is parking for four cars and plenty of spots for relaxing and unwinding with pretty garden views. The open plan kitchen and dining room is large enough to accommodate the whole family and oozes country style with an electric range cooker and refectory style table with enough seating for ten to gather around and enjoy a home cooked feast. There are doors leading out to the bright conservatory and a handy ground floor WC and utility room equipped with essential facilities also. The open fire in the sitting room is a cosy feature for relaxing in front of, and the 40” flat screen TV is great for a family movie night. The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: on the first floor you will find one master bedroom with a double bed, one master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room, one twin bedroom and a further bedroom with one single bed. One twin bedroom on the ground floor. The family bathroom upstairs benefits from a bath, WC and a separate shower cubicle. There is also an additional separate WC upstairs.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Great choice for weekend or week break . We stayed for a weekend and the property was ideal for eight of us. Beautifully clean and had a friendly and welcoming feel. A lovely property for a group of 9 and being so close to a pub was very handy! Also having walks from the doorstep was great. Friends really liked the property and it suited our purposes for a reunion perfectly. The welcoming box of chocolate biscuits was hugely welcomed too!

The house was ideal for our gathering of family and friends over a week of birthday celebrations. The children enjoyed playing in the garden and were delighted seeing ponies and donkeys at the front gate. Lovely walks directly from the house, a really good location.

We spent 4 days celebrating our Golden Wedding with our family and we all enjoyed the location and a very well equipped cottage. We were aged from 2 years to 72 years and their was something for everbody. The children loved to see the cows & ponies at the gate and the Fighting Cocks pub served very good food.

We had a family holiday with three generations staying in the house. We had a great week, the garden is huge and enclosed so very safe for young children. The house is spacious and comfortable. A couple of donkeys and some ponies appeared at the front gate occasionally which was something different! The nearby pub serves excellent food and is familRead morey friendly. I booked Forest Corner for my 50th birthday week - to experience life living in the New Forest. Perfect location for a family weekend. The house is just wonderful in so many ways. Well appointed bedrooms (my father has MS so the downstairs room was perfect) and spacious accommodation for socialising.
