This is a lovely cottage, was very warm and cosy this time of year - February. Everything you need is in the house. It is well situated for the town, pubs and walks along the quay and sailing club. Very nicely decorated with plenty of space and has such a warm feeling about it.

The property is in an ideal location close to all the amenities of Lymington but with the bonus of being able to walk from the door straight onto the shore line of the Solent. There was plenty of living space and a large kitchen table to sit round for meals and games in the evenings. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with all the essentialRead mores and more. The Sailor's retreat is ideally located in lymington right next to the harbour. The house is very well equipped and the garden is delightful. Eventhough the central location it was very quiet. Recommend to anyone.

Every aspect of the cottage has been designed for maximum comfort and convenience with all utilities and equipment of the highest quality. (If this were our property, we would be reluctant to let it to strangers, least of all with dogs!!)

Such a fantastic cottage in a great location. The cottage is really well equipped, everything we needed was there and it was a lovely home from home for a week. The area is fantastic and both child and dog friendly. Would really recommend as a place to base yourself to explore the New Forest. Well be back for sure!

This was our second visit to The Sailors Retreat and was equally as good as the first which was two years ago. Tom, the owner has presented it beautifully once again, even adding the odd improvement. There is now a 'snug' with TV games equipment which I guess would be a great asset for those with children. The property itself which also has a beautRead moreiful private garden with lots of lovely plants and is frequented by an array or birds, is very central to boats and shops. Thanks Tom again! Hide

If you want a well appointed and equipped seaside cottage, look no further, very comfortable and cosy, turn right and you're on the coastal path, turn left and you're in town with great dog friendly pubs and restaurants. Didn't want to leave and go home. Malcolm Gymer.
