This beautifully restored period cottage, which retains character and charm, is situated on a country lane a short walk to the foreshore where you can watch the sailing boats go by as the sun goes down.

Built of mellow buff brick this charming detached property makes a cosy and welcoming place to stay. Situated in a no-through country lane which leads to the beach less than a five minute walk from the front door. Oozing with character and offering stunning countryside views surrounding the property. The local pub is situated within walking distance from the cottage which serves great food. Within the boundary of the New Forest National Park where there are cycle routes or take a walk and follow the paths where the ponies and donkeys can be found. The Georgian market town of Lymington, is just a short drive away, where you can spend the day meandering through the various shops, cafes, gastro pubs. Then down to the cobbled street where you will find the pretty harbour.

This charming accommodation is arranged over two floors. Enter the property from the lawned garden into the stylish country kitchen which is well-equipped  with an Aga, electric oven and hob, microwave and a dishwasher. The cosy lounge has an open fire, a perfect spot to relax after a long country walk. You will find a cloakroom with a WC and a utility room with a washing machine and a tumbler dryer. The fine vaulted two-storey additional living space has a wood burner and stairs in one corner ascending to a mezzanine galleried area. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms one super king-size with en-suite bathroom with bath and WC, one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) and one twin zip-and-link (which can be made as a king on request) served by the family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

Outside the property there is an enclosed lawned area of garden to the front with a short driveway. To the rear is a sheltered paved courtyard terrace with garden furniture and a shed for bike storage. Off-road parking available.

A beautiful property that is close to tourist attractions within the New Forest. Lovely walks and the pebbly beach is just a short walk down the pretty lane. Take old boots if you're walking along the shore-it gets muddy in places but worth it for the views and meeting the ponies en route! The house and location was fantastic. The cottage had everything we needed - it was a home from home. He kitchen equipment and games for the children were excellent. Shell seekers is a beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting. It is the cleanest and best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend it. The description mentions a pub a short (10 minute) walk from the cottage. This is true but the walk is along lanes with no footpaths - not easy with a pram or buggy and suggest a torch for night Read morewalking. Hide
