Elegant five-star property offering stylish accommodation for six guests, situated in Totland Bay on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, within a few minutes’ walk of the local beach.

This property is perfect for those who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday by the seaside, spending time at the beach, walking on the coastal path, and making day trips to the huge number of attractions on the island. At only 23 miles wide, everything on the island is within easy reach, including the leisure parks of Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, the former royal residence Osborne House, the famous cliffs and beach at Alum Bay, and several wildlife parks. Ryde, Newport, and Cowes are the three principal towns on the island, each with its own unique feel, but all with a good range of shops and places to eat.

This property is accessed via two steps up which lead from the parking to the front door, which in turn opens into a welcoming hallway where guests have plenty of space to leave coats and boots, as well as a seating area next to the original cast iron fireplace. Just off from the hallway, the dining room has a light and airy feel to it and, has dining table seating six and another feature fireplace. The lounge, meanwhile, is an elegant room with an unusual feature window which curves around one wall of the room and is furnished with a large window seat. In addition to this there is an inviting sofa, as well as a TV/DVD, and a fireplace where a wood burner-effect electric fire now sits. Moving through to the kitchen, guests will find a contemporary space which is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, whilst a separate utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Doors from the kitchen open onto the property’s conservatory, a beautifully sunny space which overlooks the garden and makes a wonderful space to relax with drinks. Returning to the entrance hall, guests will pass the cloakroom with WC before coming to the stairs which lead to the bedrooms on the first floor. Two of these are restful double rooms, both of which benefit from sea views, whilst the remaining two are both single rooms, one of which has access to a balcony which overlooks the cottage’s garden. The bathroom with its separate shower cubicle with power shower can also be found on the first floor, as can a separate WC.

To the rear of the property there is an enclosed garden which boasts a patio seating area with garden furniture and a BBQ, beyond which a lawn provides plenty of space to relax. To the front of the property, meanwhile, there is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a very large house with plenty of different areas to enjoy. An extremely comfortable drawing room, tastefully decorated & spacious. The conservatory was large, bright and with good furniture. We were also impressed with the lighting which is often overlooked in holiday properties. What a wonderful cottage, probably the best place we have stayed in! The holiday was to celebrate my 70th Birthday, so we wanted somewhere special, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The weather was good up until the last day and we enjoyed many long walks straight from the doorstep.The property has a lovely spacious feel to it and we spent many hRead moreours just sitting in the conservatory looking out over the beautiful garden.So peaceful and perfect for our springer spaniel who had a great time too! Excellent location and good accommodation. Very quiet sunny garden and conservatory. Totland is a good place to spend your holiday, beach 5 minutes away and excellent walking via coastal path 30 seconds from Chine Cottage.

Chine Cottage is a wonderful place, beautiful house and location. Is very relaxing and peaceful also great for morning walks along the sea front. The Waterfront restaurant served good food and is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here, just loved it!

Chine Cottage was the perfect base for a family holiday on this beautiful island. The cottage is warm, welcoming and very well equipped, just right for our family of six plus one very happy dog! Lovely garden, great BBQ facilities and walking distance to everything we needed. A fantastic week.
