Enjoy a stay at this beautiful detached house which sits within the scenic Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a short stroll to the beach, a perfect family getaway retreat.

Situated along the south west coast of the island, with fantastic sea views from the entrance and two of the bedrooms, this cottage is perfect for exploring the island. Brook beach is only a couple of minutes walk and is dog friendly all year around, Compton Bay is very near too and is known as one of the best surfing beaches on the Island, both beaches are famous for hunting dinosaur fossils. The coast path stretches the whole way around the island, however, some may say the most picturesque is the west of the island. Alternatively, take a day trip out to the small town of Yarmouth and explore the shops, walk along the pier and there are plenty of eateries to choose from. Freshwater Bay is close by with its caves which are good for kayaking and coasteering.

The cottage has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. As you enter the property into the large entrance room with boot/utility room, housing the washing machine and tumble dryer. One step down from the entrance room you will be within the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, relax in the cosy lounge which has comfortable seating and a TV with Netflix. The kitchen area comprises of two electric ovens and an induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, espresso machine (which works on the hob) and dishwasher, there are double doors leading out from the open-plan area to the large garden. Downstairs, leading off the entrance room you also have a snug area which is perfect for children with TV and Netflix and has a sofa bed for additional visitors if required. Leading off the snug area is a wet room with shower and WC. Heading upstairs via the winding cottage style stairs you will firstly come to a small cosy double bedroom with views out to sea. A large family bathroom is positioned between the bedrooms with a hand held shower over the bath and WC. Moving along the hallway you come to a twin bedroom with an additional two single pull-out beds for extra guests, then a few steps up from the hallway is the master king-size bedroom with a large bay window and views overlooking the sea.

Enjoy the sunshine in the delightful large enclosed garden, which is equipped with garden furniture and a hammock. Visitors can park in the gated entrance.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20 for up to 7 nights, £40 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20 for every week or part week thereafter.

A lovely cottage with a large open plan living area and comfortable sofas. However, not suitable for toddlers in our opinion and the small 'double' room at the top of the stairs is no more than a box room and our teenage son found it very claustrophobic. The small amount of hot water would put us off visiting again however our son loved the separatRead moree downstairs lounge and the selection of TV channels was excellent. Hide
