Nestling in the heart of rural West Wight, this is a picturesque thatched cottage in a tranquil village, perfect for enjoying beautiful country walks, delightful villages and glorious beaches.

This lovely cottage is located in the peaceful village of Newbridge, at the heart of West Wight. This is a lovely rural area, perfect for enjoying fantastic walks and bike rides, and you will be just a short drive from the coast with a choice of lovely beaches to be found at Brook and Compton Bay. Local footpaths lead to Shalfleet Creek and to the Tennyson Trail, from which you can enjoy spectacular views across the Solent and the South Coast. Within a short drive you will find the beautiful Yar Estuary and the fascinating nature reserve at Newtown, both havens for sea birds, waterfowl and rare wading birds. Excellent cream teas can be enjoyed at the nearby Chessel Pottery.

On entering this lovely semi-detached stone built cottage, which still retains many original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the comfortable and welcoming lounge which has plenty of comfy seating and a Smart TV with DVD. You will also find a delightful kitchen/diner with a charming dining area and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Exploring the ground floor further you will find the bathroom which is complete with an electric shower over the bath and a WC. A door from the lounge opens to reveal a charming staircase which takes you directly up into the attractive double bedroom. There is also a cosy twin bedroom which is accessed via the double room.

Stepping outside, you will find a delightful fenced garden with a large lawn, shrubs, trees and garden furniture, where you can relax in the sunshine, play games or dine al fresco. There is parking space for one car at the side of cottage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

I was very impressed by the organisation for our holiday. The cottage was delightful and in a lovely location for walking our dogs. A bonus were the vouchers supplied by Island Cottage Holidays which allowed us to have reductions on meals at dog-friendly pubs. A lovely holiday.

Laurel Cottage was very clean and comfortable and very well equipped. Spent time in the gorgeous cottage garden enjoying the wonderful views. Plenty of room to park the car in front of its garage which is always a plus and must add that the double bed was extremely comfortable.
