Close to two charming seaside resorts, his lovely rural cottage offers delightful views and nestles in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a few minutes’ walk from the glorious coastal path.

The small and picturesque hamlet of Luccombe is ideally situated in wonderful countryside between the welcoming seaside resorts of Ventnor and Shanklin, which are both just a short drive away, as is the charming village of Bonchurch. The lovely town of Shanklin is renowned for its lovely sandy beach which gently slopes into the water - ideal for paddling and swimming. Ventnor benefits from a variety of good restaurants with fresh fish available from the small harbour, and a small secluded beach. The town is also home to the famous Ventnor Botanic Garden. The cottage lies in the heart of a beautiful walking area with direct access to footpaths leading towards the downs and the stunning coastal path.

This attractive holiday cottage stands at the centre of three adjoining properties approached via a country gravel lane and offering delightful views across the surrounding fields and down the valley. On entering you will find yourself in the spacious and inviting lounge. With plenty of comfy seating and TV/DVD this is a lovely space to relax in. Bi-fold doors open directly into the conservatory so that in warmer weather the rooms seamlessly merge to provide one space in which to unwind. Exploring further you will find a charming dining room, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a range style double electric oven with grill, a microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a ground-floor WC. Going upstairs you will find three cosy bedrooms. There’s a double room with a king-size bed and a spacious children’s bunk bedroom, both of which have lovely views of the valley. There’s also a third bedroom with a single bed and a trundle bed beneath. Use of the second bed in this room does mean space is quite restricted. You will also find a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.

French doors open from the conservatory onto the front terrace which offers open rural views. Garden furniture and a BBQ are provided so you can dine in the sunshine. In addition there is large private fenced garden beyond the adjoining cottage. Here steps lead up to a terrace, above the garage, with garden furniture and lovely views and there is also a lawn where games can be played. The garage can be used for storing bikes and boating equipment, and also houses a freezer. One car can be parked opposite the garage and a second space is available within a few yards of the cottage.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

This cottage is delightful and well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It was clean, neat and very comfortable. We were surrounded by lovely views and enjoyed several walks in the area. It was very peaceful, an ideal remedy to 'get away from it all'.
