Discover captivating tales of pirates and smugglers
South Cornwall was once the main haunt for ship wreckers, pirates and smugglers and the small fishing ports and secret coves were teeming with smuggled goodies. Today the cobbled streets are punctuated with art galleries, cafés, boutique shops and some lovely holiday cottages, giving you a more tranquil holiday in South Cornwall.
The acclaimed Eden Project and the surrounding landscape carved by the flooded clay pits are an intriguing sight as is picturesque Charleston harbour with its tall ships or the harbour towns of Mevagissey, Polperro and Fowey.
