This reverse-level accommodation is well placed for walking and cycling alike. The Brecon and Monmouth Canal is on your doorstep great for walking or cycling to the market towns of Brecon and Abergavenny, or an evening stroll to the village pub.

The property is situated close to Crickhowell with a butchers and bakers and is just a 3 minute drive. Abergavenny with its castle, shops and restaurants is just 15 minutes by car. Or venture further afield into Hay on Wye, famous for the Hay Festival, just 30 minutes’ drive away. The area has an abundance of restaurants within 15 minutes of the property. Visit one of the many National Trust properties locally Hergest Croft Gardens, Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, Hampton Court Garden.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor, both with countryside views, 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Lounge: with woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV, DVD and iPod dock, on the first floor. Kitchen/diner: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: pretty private outside garden with seating and BBQ. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome, no pets under 12 months. Additional info: storage for bikes available. Welcome “crate” and homemade cake on arrival. Location: pub and shop within walking distance. Arrival: 4pm

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

SLEEPS 2-4: Two bedrooms, a lovely double bedroom with White Company bed linen, plus a fresh and stylish twin, comfortable and large enough for adults or children. Both with great views.

BATHING: Large stylish bathroom, with double ended bath tub, walk in shower, twin basins, loo and fluffy towels.

EATING: Well equipped large kitchen with farm house dining table and chairs, electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. Washing machine. Welcome "crate" and home made cake on arrival - delicious!

RELAXING: Two large leather sofas, television, dvd player, i-pod dock and wi-fi. Great views and a cosy wood burner with logs for cooler evenings.

OUTSIDE: Pretty garden to the rear of the property, bench table, garden bench with views, barbeque. Brecon and Monmouth Canal to the front of the property with great walks, including to the village pub. Storage for bikes.

PETS: Up two lovely dogs are very welcome.

CHILD FRIENDLY: The friendly owners provide a Tripp Trapp Highchair and travel cot as standard and can also provide baby monitor, non-slip bath mats, cot bedding and age appropriate toys.

PETS: Although dogs are very welcome, no puppies under 12 months.

JUST SO YOU KNOW: The property is attached, however your privacy is respected at all times and entrances are set away from each other.

A great base for exploring the area. Georgie makes you feel very welcome & the upside down layout of the cottage makes the most of the fabulous views. We really enjoyed our stay & would love to return soon!

Cottage was in a excellent position overlooking Canal.We loved the sitting room being upstairs.very spacious an all what we needed.lovely small enclosed garden ideal for our dog who loved it.Georgie the owner was so friendly and helpful.We had a lovely hamper on arrival with one of Georgies homemade banana and chocolate cakes which was yummy! Great views across the valley down to the canal, the river and the town on the other side. Nice walks along the canal tow path right outside the front door. A very comfortable cottage.

This is a really peaceful setting with wonderful views. I cannot stress enough that the views are brilliant (including at night). Excellent access to walks and local villages and Towns. The garden is lovely but is small with steep steps so be careful. Good size Kitchen / diner and living space. A bat swept through the house one evening, exciting tiRead moremes! Hide

This is a lovely cottage in an idyllic location. Everything was included to make our holiday memorable and relaxing. It is joined to the owners home, they were on hand if needed but not intrusive. Lovely welcome pack of home made cake, eggs, bread, milk, butter. Highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay at Canal Boat Cottage. We felt at home instantly and were delighted to find a hamper of lovely goodies when we arrived. The view is beautiful from the cottage and only a short walk away from Crickhowell town. We will definitely be booking again!
