STYLISH PINK COTTAGE ABOVE TALYBONT-ON-USK IN THE HEART OF THE BRECON BEACONS

Nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, mountains, reservoirs, great country pubs and views for miles, the cottage is a treat to uncover.  Picnic above the cottage looking out across the Black Mountains, or stride out for miles straight from the door.  Bike hire easily available too. The cathedral town of Brecon lies in one direction, Crickhowell and foodie haven Abergavenny  lie in the other, with bookish Hay on Wye a delight for those who love to spend a day rummaging through bookshops and antique stores.

One of a pair of pretty pink adjoined cottages converted from the stables of their beautiful parent manor house, there is an abundance of views, birdsong and country living style from the moment you arrive.  Step through the old stable door into open-plan living.   Put a match to the wood burning stove and relax as it blasts out the heat throughout chillier months.  Have lazy breakfasts on the terrace when the sun shines.  Keen cook, Joanna has ensured that the kitchen is the pride of the cottage and super well-equipped.  Also included are fresh local eggs and juice to enjoy with your local bara brith on arrival.

Idyllic. Really quaint and the cottage was finished to a very high standard without loosing any character - absolutely charming. Very high standard spec throughout the interior and clearly a labor of love. We had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend this cottage. Its very quiet and we could only hear sheep, but only a short drive to the village where there is a local shop, cafe which does an amazing breakfast, some nice pubs and bike hire. Good facilities including washing machine and dishwasher. We will definitely be returning.

My Husband and I stayed at Coity Cottage for a long weekend. Our aim was peace, quiet and relaxing and we couldn't have made a better choice! We both agreed that we would have loved at least another day to enjoy the views and calm. It is a well equipt little cottage with a comfy bed and gorgeous wood burner which we made full use of. Very clean, comfortable and peaceful, and in a beautiful location. The cottage is converted from the original stables and the beams upstairs and down are a delightful feature. We sat out in the garden above the Read morecottage with a bottle of wine - it was idyllic. Lots of great walks in the area. We certainly hope to return. Hide
