Exceptionally well appointed cottage with an excellent kitchen and bedding to die for. Great walks in the neighbourhood. Fab place to spend Christmas week and made even better by a generous welcome basket.

Lovely cottage in a great location

Very well equipped, comfy beds and quality linen, we really enjoyed our stay. Warm and cosy, the steep drive up was not as challenging as we were expecting and our BMW M sport easily made it, very wet conditions may prove more challenging, but you can easily park at the bottom. A lovely peaceful week, very restorative from busy lives, lots of walkiRead moreng, and Abergavenny was great for shopping, lovely butchers there with the most delicious pork pies! Also very good Waitrose. Hide

The cottage has a fantastic setting with peace and quiet and a great view from the front. It is a great walking location, with several good walks starting from the door. The sunny terrace with its view of The Sugarloaf was a great way to end a days walk.

Beautiful cottage set in beautiful countryside. Perfect location for walks and exploring the Brecon Beacons, but also extremely cosy and perfect for doing nothing on a rainy day!

I have stayed in holiday cottages all over the UK and this was right up there among the best. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and well-equipped. However, it's the location which makes this cottage so special. So peaceful, so beautiful. I'd definitely recommend both the cottage and the surrounding area. We'd definitely stay at Croft-y-Cwm again.

The cottage was comfortable and very clean - quite charming and in the most perfect location. Excellent for walking and cycling, whether in the valleys or up the challenging hills! Abergavenny has the most amazing Angel Bakery and Crickhowell is a wonderful town to visit and have lunch. My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this wonderful cottage. Such a lovely place in the middle of the mountains. The views from the garden are spectacular! Clean, cosy and full of charm. We were greeted with fresh produce and a lovely bottle of champagne. Will definitely be coming back :)

Lovely idyllic cottage in a quiet and peaceful area of the Brecon national park. The property is very well presented and is renovated and furnished to a high standard. Unfortunately on the day we arrived it had been rainy very heavily and because of the steepness of the driveway we could only get one vehicle to the top after the third attempt. The Read moreother vehicle had to be left at the bottom. Also a warning that the country lane is used by large logging trucks that are too big for country lanes. Hide

After making it up the steep slope- this detached beauty amount the hills is breathtaking. Again, steep gardens surrounding the property are lovely but the walking opportunities are all around. The cottage is clean, cosy and well equipt with everything catered for comfortably. Beware the steep concrete stairs inside! But it is part of the charm
