A delightful barn conversion, with great walking and cycle routes straight from your door, set high on the Sugar Loaf mountain. Complete with tree house, trampoline and swing to keep the little ones entertained.


The barn is set on one level and is light and open-plan inside, it is in an excellent position to walk out and enjoy the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountain National Parks. With great walking straight from the door, endless cycle routes.

The property is a short drive to the market towns of Abergavenny and Brecon, and is in a great spot for sightseeing. The village of Crickhowell is just a few minutes’ drive away, with restaurants, pubs and traditional village shops. There are numerous trails for walking and cycling throughout the Black Mountains, which are all around, bike hire is available in both Brecon & Abergavenny. Abergavenny is just 15minutes away and has a cinema, a soft play centre, an indoor bouldering wall and a leisure centre with swimming pool. Play facilities: basketball net, trampoline and a treehouse with swing.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with hand-held shower over bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with woodburner effect electric fire, TV, DVD and CD player. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. Outside: large field. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and electric heating included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Additional info: sofa bed on the landing, suitable for an extra child. Bikes can be hired and delivered to the barn if required, can be arranged direct with the owner. Please let us know the ages of your children so age appropriate toys can be arranged. Location: pub within walking distance. Arrival: 4pm

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

SLEEPS 2 - 4: 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, both with plenty of storage and skylights flooding rooms with light and views onto the Sugar Loaf mountains. There is also a sofabed available. BATHING: Bath with shower mixer taps, loo and basin, fluffy towels included.

EATING: Simple Shaker style kitchen with all the essentials and a lovely welcome basket of goodies. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and a rustic table in open plan living area.

RELAXING: Two cosy sofas in a light open plan living space, one sofa has a high back for those of you who prefer that. Flat screen television, dvd player and cd player.

CHILDREN: Basketball net, trampoline (at own risk) and a treehouse with swing. Board games and highchair available, please let us know the ages of your children so age appropriate toys can be arranged.

PETS: Well behaved dogs are very welcome

We had a lovely week at Cwm Barn. The owner was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed especially for our little boy aged 2! The views are incredible and we managed to make it half way to Sugar Loaf mountain. We will be coming back to make it to the top when hes a bit bigger! Would definitely recommend if youre looking for peace aRead morend quite, beautifully scenery and home from home comforts. Hide

Lovely location for walking and not far from Crickhowell or Abergavenny for shopping. The hosts were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Our dog was very happy there but I would have been anxious about small children - there are a number of stone steps and steep banks on the access to the property and around it. Fantastic little barn which we would highly recommend. Really thoughtfully equipped and very cosy decor. Vicky was very welcoming and helpful but also ensured that we had our privacy the whole time.
