A charming luxury property at the heart of the Elan Valley, surrounded by peaceful farmland and woodlands, making for the perfect getaway. The property’s spacious rooms retain some original features.

With Elan Valley right on the doorstep, enjoy idyllic landscapes and an abundance of wildlife, making for lovely walks for all the family as well as keen walkers with the popular Elan Valley Trail, following the route of the old railway, close by. 850 acres of wilderness water with an abundance of brown trout and other stock creates the perfect opportunity for a day of angling. For variety, the town of Rhayader is in range and is said to be the oldest settlement in Mid-Wales.

On the ground floor, the spacious lounge includes a TV/DVD, a woodburner (the first basket of logs is included), and light and lovely décor. From the lounge, the dining room offers seating for up to six guests. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Belfast sink, range-style oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer and microwave, and the utility room consists of a washing machine and tumble dryer. The accommodation hosts three bedrooms: one double with an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, shower and WC; one further double with a feature fireplace and one twin with feature fireplace, creating feelings of comfort and relaxation. There is also a separate bathroom with shower over the bath and WC close by for convenience.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden by trees and bushes with a lawn to the front and side of the accommodation which includes a seating area adjacent to an open stream. All these features add up to a tranquil atmosphere within a lovely countryside setting.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A beautiful cottage with stunning views and such a peaceful location. It snowed heavily while we were there so we didn't venture out much but the cottage was so comfortable and well equipped that we still had an enjoyable holiday. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. The owners have thought of everything and were helpful while we were there. Absolutely stunning Cottage, honestly the best I have stayed in in terms of standards and location. Lots of space for 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog and extremely well equipped with everything you could need for a fabulous holiday. Elan Valley is beautiful and we hope to be back again soon!

This is a delightful and comfortable house maintained in excellent condition and well equipped throughout. The location is superb for a restful break away from traffic noise and disturbance of any kind, and the Elan Valley has lots of potential for outdoor activities on the doorstep.

Oh wow everything about this property is stunning. The location was breathtaking, it was peaceful and the views were amazing. The log fire was much appreciated in the evenings. The kitchen fabulously equipped with everything you could possibly need. The finishing touches - detergent for the washing machine right down to toilet roll and tissues. A dRead moreog bed, poo bags, etc etc . Simply amazing! Listening to the owls at night and other wildlife made it perfect. I can't wait to go back! Hide

Beautiful, cosy cottage with long garden with stream running through it - great fun for the lurcher to run in! Good spot for walks in the valley up to the reservoir. Very peaceful spot and, on a clear night, watched for shooting stars in the garden away from light pollution; an owl visited most nights. Our first trip to Wales and it was wonderful. A beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you could need, in an absolutely gorgeous location. 5* break for us and our dogs (the stream in the garden was a big hit with them) and we would all love to go back.

A beautiful, spacious cottage, with some unexpected luxurious touches, in a stunning location. Amazing outlook with an abundance of birds. It was delightful to listen to the cuckoos during the day and the owls at night.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and a dream to stay in. What excellent builders the Victorians were. It has everything inside you could wish for, was very comfortable and well thought out. The location was superb and the walks from the cottage itself were excellent - we had one tired dog coming home! Check the side gate every day as the postmanRead more left it open one day delivering junk mail and our dog got out. Luckily he didnt go far and we spotted it immediately. A lovely place indeed.
