Beautiful, cosy cottage with long garden with stream running through it - great fun for the lurcher to run in! Good spot for walks in the valley up to the reservoir. Very peaceful spot and, on a clear night, watched for shooting stars in the garden away from light pollution; an owl visited most nights. Excellent welcome basket with a few essentialsRead more - milk, butter, tea, etc - plus some tasty treats! Nearby Rhayader had good pubs and restaurants for eating out. Hide

Our first trip to Wales and it was wonderful. A beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you could need, in an absolutely gorgeous location. 5* break for us and our dogs (the stream in the garden was a big hit with them) and we would all love to go back.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and a dream to stay in. What excellent builders the Victorians were. It has everything inside you could wish for, was very comfortable and well thought out. The location was superb and the walks from the cottage itself were excellent - we had one tired dog coming home! Check the side gate every day as the postmanRead more left it open one day delivering junk mail and our dog got out. Luckily he didnt go far and we spotted it immediately. A lovely place indeed. Excellent cottage, well equiped very roomy, warm and comfortable. Perfect spot for getting to walks around the valley and right on the edge of a Dark Sky conservation area. Plenty of owner support if needed and a super holiday for both dog and owner.

The "Dog House" to be used for wet coats, dog towels was very cold so nothing dried - we appreciate the sentiment of using this room for these purposes but not practical in November.
