A CHARMING GRADE II LISTED COTTAGE IN THE HEART OF THE ELAN VALLEY

Enjoying an elevated position within a peaceful hamlet of traditional cottages. The property has views across the Elan Valley and woodlands and a stream running through the generous gardens. Beautifully restored with spacious accommodation offering a wealth of history and original features.

With breath-taking landscapes and an abundance of wildlife, the Elan Valley is part of the rugged Cambrian Mountains, an unspoilt area made even more compelling by the dams and reservoirs. For keen anglers there are 850 acres of wilderness water with an abundance of wild brown trout. Further afield is Rhayader, the first town on the River Wye and said to be the oldest in mid Wales and Powys Castle a medieval fortress perched high on a rock above its world-famous garden terraces.

This stylishly finished accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with TV and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, shower and WC, 1 further double with feature fireplace and 1 twin with feature fireplace. Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Lounge: with TV, DVD and woodburner (first basket of logs included). Dining room. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and a dream to stay in. What excellent builders the Victorians were. It has everything inside you could wish for, was very comfortable and well thought out. The location was superb and the walks from the cottage itself were excellent - we had one tired dog coming home! Check the side gate every day as the postmanRead more left it open one day delivering junk mail and our dog got out. Luckily he didnt go far and we spotted it immediately. A lovely place indeed. Fantastic cottage, so much better than we imagined. Great location, amazing walks from the front door. Incredible garden (stream going through it!) and the dogs loved it. En suite bathroom was great!

Excellent cottage, well equiped very roomy, warm and comfortable. Perfect spot for getting to walks around the valley and right on the edge of a Dark Sky conservation area. Plenty of owner support if needed and a super holiday for both dog and owner.

The "Dog House" to be used for wet coats, dog towels was very cold so nothing dried - we appreciate the sentiment of using this room for these purposes but not practical in November.
