Description

Property code: 47884

One-of-two semi-detached stone cottages at this quiet rural location within the Brecon Beacons National Park, with scenic walks amongst the Black Mountains right on the doorstep.

This property enjoys a quiet location in the Beacon Beacons village of Pantygelli, close to the Welsh/English border. The location is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, as there are numerous activity centres in the area offering visitors the chance to have a go at climbing, abseiling, and caving. For a different way to look at life underground, the Big Pit National Coal Museum allows visitors to experience life in the colliery, and explore the role that the coal industry played in the heritage of the area. There is a pub in the village, within walking distance of the property, but for those looking for a winder range of eateries, there can be nowhere better than the town of Abergavenny, which is just two miles from the cottage, and offers a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes, and delis, many of which pride themselves on their use of local produce.

On entering this stylish single-storey property, guests will come first to the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where they will find a dining table, as well as sofa-bed which can be used to accommodate two extra guests. There is a TV/DVD here for guests to enjoy, whilst the kitchen area is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and a dishwasher. The bright, relaxing bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as twin beds on request, and there is also a contemporary shower room with corner shower and WC.

Bi-fold doors from the living area lead out to the property’s attractive patio to the front of the cottage. This enclosed area offers beautiful views to the nearby mountains and has garden furniture making it a great space for enjoying alfresco drinks or meals.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely and clean and tidy with everything that you would want while on holiday. Added to this there are views to die for, sit at the dining table for breakfast and look at the breathtaking view of the mountain and all just a breath away. Wonderful.

The view was outstanding, keeps changing through out the time we were there, was hoping to book for November but it was booked, loved the private drive way.

We had a lovely, quiet, peaceful four-day break in this beautiful cottage in a great setting. It was so nice to wake up to the relaxing sounds of nature and have a great view over the countryside opposite. A friendly welcome to a cottage which had lovely owners who provided personal touches which made us feel very welcome. Well certainly return. The Welshcakes were amazing!

This is a great retreat for dog lovers and couples , it ticks all the boxes for walkers as well , the owners go the extra mile and have the users comfort as their priority.

This is a fantastic cottage in a wonderfully secluded location. During our recent stay there we had the bi-fold doors open nearly every day which bought the outside in on the warm afternoons. Highly recommended

Absolutely loved our weeks holiday here the cottage was beautiful with stunning views we didn’t want to leave. The owners Lynn & Andrew have done a fantastic job & thought of everything you would need for a very comfortable & relaxing break. A nice dog friendly pub just down the road we only had drinks so can’t comment on the food but seemed quite a popular place to eat. Will definitely return in the not too distant future. No negatives at all with this cottage loved everything about it
