The property has been elegantly re-decorated to ensure that it is very comfortable and thoughtfully considered so guests can spend a week or more without wanting for anything, located in the grounds of the owners home your privacy is respected at all times.

Located in the heart of the village of Grosmont, there is a pub, post office, a church and a castle almost on the doorstep. Centrally located, it's a great base for exploring Abergavenny, Monmouth and Herefordshire, as well as having the Wye Valley in one direction and the Brecon Beacons National Park in the other. Cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the location, with spectacular routes.  The Wye Valley is peppered with Norman Castles, Grosmont Castle being one of a famous trio along with Skenfrith and White Castle.

The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double. Bathroom: with hand-held shower over bath and WC. Kitchen/sitting room/dining room: with woodburner effect electric fire, TV, DVD, iPod dock and radio. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Outside: terrace and gravelled area. Amenities: secure parking for up to 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome at an additional cost of £10 per dog, per week.  Additional info: bike storage available. Location: pub within walking distance. Arrival: 4pm

SLEEPS 2 : (plus a baby): Master bedroom with plentiful storage. All bed linen included and synthetic pillows available for those with allergies if required

RELAXING: The cottage is very warm and fully centrally heated. Comfy sofa and armchairs, wi-fi / tv / dvd / iPod dock and radio available as well as a welcome stash of magazines and local reads to enjoy.

COOKING:  Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, basic included (ie: washing up liquid, loo paper, salt and pepper etc). Dining table and chairs.

BATHING: Upstairs bathroom with bath with shower mixer taps, basin, loo. Towels included.

OUTSIDE:  Peaceful terrace and gravelled area with lovely views.  Majestic Red Kites can frequently be seen from the Coach House wheeling above Grosmont Castle, which is within easy strolling distance - and perfect for picnics.  Bike storage is available. 

PETS:  Up to two well behaved dogs are very welcome and are charged at £10 per dog per week

BABIES:  Babes in arms are really welcome, please bring your own cot and highchair. The Coach House sadly isn't very suitable for babies once they start to crawl - have a peek at Willow Cottage instead.

GROSMONT:  Boasts its own castle just 100 metres away and 2nd Saturday in the month the local market sets up its stalls in the centre of the village.

OUT AND ABOUT:   The nearby village of Ewyas Harold has one of the best village shops around, a very good old fashioned country butcher, and an excellent fish and chip shop if you're looking for typical British fayre.   A fantastic selection of groceries are always available until 10.00pm from the Farm Shop at Lockes Garage on the A465 towards Hereford (even open on Christmas Day)! Baileys Home and Garden for those with an eye for interior design is near Ross on Wye.  Great for a browse and also has a very good café for a light lunch.

This is a lovely property suitable for 2 adults and 1 dog. the property does have a well equipped kitchen / great little room at the back of the property for storage. Fantastic location in a small village with a great pub (the angel / dog friendly) and lovely little walks on the doorstep. Very welcoming sue was very informative and helpfull the cottage was great and very comfy the bed was the realy comfy .the village was extremely friendly as was the local.pub the Angel. The food was awsome....the walks were also great but tiring for us town folk. Beautiful, cosy cottage in an outstanding area. Felt like a real retreat and our host Sue was very welcoming. I would recommend without hesitation.
